Ah the human condition where we always move the goalposts. I’m old enough to remember a week ago when lots of people were convinced this team was one and done in the tournament. This team has met its preseason ranking and it has met or exceeded the end of season expectation. The only way to make it a disappointment now is to move the goal posts. And even if we get to the F4 the goal posts will move again.
The man said: “an objectively awesome season”. Not sure what else you want?

He’s entitled to feel like two things are true at the same time…is he not?

Can anyone provide somewhat reliable game-times for Saturday's Elite 8 contests? Asking for a friend.

I got nothing against him or what he said. It’s fine to move the goalposts. There was a broader discussion going on about if the season was a success. I was just stating my view on that. Didn’t mean to make you or anyone else angry. Certainly wasn’t trying to call him out.

Here are the latest odds from FanDuel futures just prior to today's games (sorted by seed then champion odds):

Probably the post-game high and the fact that I hate Iowa, but this sets up well for Illinois. Iowa is as good of a matchup for Illinois as Houston was a tough matchup. Not great athletically. Not great size. Illinois should win the rebounding battle pretty handily. Stay on Foulguieras (sp - sorry). Make Stirtz earn his points with tough mid-range jumpers. Work inside out offensively and take advantage of our height and strength advantages.

We play well, we win. I 100% believe that.

According to KenPom, Iowa was the most underseeded team going into the tournament.

So far, that's been justified.

They're still probably the worst team left in the field (but hey, there are 12 teams left in the field, it's a small field now).

Tier 1 teams (Net Rating 37+): Duke, Arizona, Michigan
Tier 2 teams (Net Rating 31+): Illinois, Iowa State, Purdue
Tier 3 teams (Net Rating 26+): Michigan State, UConn, Alabama, St. John's, Tennessee
Tier 4 teams (Net Rating under 26): Iowa (who already beat a tier 2 team and a tier 3 team)

Latest odds from Fanduel (sorted just by championship %). We obviously get the biggest bump from today's results, and now have the best chance of any team to reach the F4 (although that may change after tomorrow's S16 games)
