Transfers Thread

So he still would have been starting what's the big deal?

Exactly! If you are going to be a leader, a team player, a captain, you do what's best for the team. Whether that be switching positions, playing special teams, or being a backup, you do what's best for the team. Too much me and not enough we. It's the same old thing that has become too common in sports, it's that sense of entitlement all athletes today have. If it's not what's best for them then I'm going to take my ball and go home. Guess it's easier to be one of the guys rather than the guy. Good luck to him at Auburn.

Sorry, but I can't let this one go. I should stay off these now that Mason is finished but I can't sit back and let a young man get railed unjustly. TJ Neal is far from selfish.
Maybe there was a trust issue with the new guys in charge?
Maybe there were things said behind a players back that ALWAYS gets back to the player
Maybe a player is pretty much under a gag order if he wants any cooperation from existing staff whether it be job reference, another team reference, scout reference, etc...
Maybe TJ took all things into consideration and did what was best for him and his family......much like the new HC did for himself and his family?
just maybe..

Agreed. The playing field evens out when the player has his degree and is able to transfer based upon what a new staff's vision is for the team.

I don't have a problem with a kid fulfilling his 4 year commitment, graduating, and deciding he wants to finish his ride out somewhere else under these types of situations (turnover/turmoil).

Are all of these guys officially gone or can they reverse course now that Lovie is here?

I was wondering the same thing. I'd assume if they transferred after the first semester and are already enrolled at their new school, that it was a done deal. If they're still a student though... I don't know.

My first thought was if TJ Neal can come back... I hope it is still a possibility!
