Thank you! Very interesting reading.Your window to the Portal - https://247sports.com/Season/2020-Basketball/TransferPortal/
How come we don't hear about any possible transfers?
Sounds like something is being teasedOne of the great things about our current staff is they play some recruitments close to the vest.
Nope, just making a comment about how it is more enjoyable being pleasantly surprised rather than wringing hands at 2nd place. There will be some 2nd places or we are recruiting the wrong players. But some awesome firsts...Kofi, Adam Miller, Andre Curbelo currently and some budding depth or better with Hutch and Grandy...very happy with our current staff. No teaser sorry, those would have been the Henson days for me haha. Sorry /not sorry lol . I...L...L...Sounds like something is being teased
Count me in on this one.Yor Anei to transfer from Oklahoma State
Think we will have interest? In two seasons with the Cowboys, Anei averaged 7.9 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.
247 profile 6'9" 205 3* coming out of high school.
Not saying it won’t work out, but I’m still concerned about the 4. We have 3 or 4 guys who could step up, but none are a sure thing. I see that as our potential biggest weakness.Feel like the staff has been very content with our bigs situation at least in the near term. I think they wanted another 2/3 guy given their offer list. Personally, I'd think a guy like that would be a great third wheel or even starter if he can play well along with Kofi and we slide GB to the backup role, but that's just me. Maybe Hawkins will impress early enough that it wont matter.
Hoping the staff isn’t as concerned because they know they already have the player. We just haven’t seen BBV, Grandison, or Hawkins play. Not saying it won’t work out, but I’m still concerned about the 4. We have 3 or 4 guys who could step up, but none are a sure thing. Yeah, this staff has shown they know how to recruit and address positions of need. I'm going to assume they don't seem desperate to bring in another player because we don't have a gaping hole we need to fill going into this season. That's great news.Hoping the staff isn’t as concerned because they know they already have the player. We just haven’t seen BBV, Grandison, or Hawkins play.
Underwood had said in the interview an impact 4 was something where they would take a grad transfer when he was talking about sit out guys. There is no doubt that is a priority, just need someone that fits & quality 4’s that can stretch the floor are hard to come by.Not saying it won’t work out, but I’m still concerned about the 4. Knock, knock...who's there?...Valpo...lol Or maybe a DePaul future...wierd, sad for the player...but Fichigan...Muck em.Wow I don’t recall ever hearing of a transfer not being admitted. Seems bizarre especially coming from another BIG school.
So does this mean he is a Boilermaker for life again? Haha
Maybe it isn't sign of the times that I'm writing this, but it has always bugged me that some on here (any college forum) belittle young athletes college major choices. Who are any of us to judge others on what majors someone you have never met should focus on. When people do this there is an assumption that the student athlete is inherently dumb. My 2 centsObviously Michigan didn't have Nojel's Selling and Sales Management major that he had at Purdue.
I’m just spitballing here, but I’d imagine that most (99%) of the players do not have the time/energy/capability to be a Div 1 scholarship player AND be a good student with a difficult major.Maybe it isn't sign of the times that I'm writing this, but it has always bugged me that some on here (any college forum) belittle young athletes college major choices.
