I think the game-plan was ok, the execution so so. The problem was nobody other than Domask was playing or shooting at their normal level. We had plenty of good shots and looks we passed up. We just didn't hit them.

Great season. Feel bad for our guys, especially the outgoing players. They deserved to end it on a much better note.
Predicted 4th in conference-finished 2nd. Won Big tourney, made run to elite 8, won 29 games. I call that A DAMN GOOD year. Thanks guys for the memories and good luck!

Very happy with the run the team made. It was a fun season with a very rough ending.
Trying very hard not to focus on the horrid game plan with Ty getting so much touch even after halftime adjustments.
Domask tried his best to keep today respectable on the offensive end.

Not upset about the loss, but was hoping it was a game at the end. That's a tough way to end a great season, but I'm super proud of this team!

Good season! Top 8 team, but a big gap to get up to UConn’s level. Really disappointing they quit on themselves during that 30-0 run. No more 19 year gap to elite 8 let alone a sweet 16. Plus, they got a tournament championship. Need to keep the momentum going. Hansberry looked good with his minutes

I agree. I pray this fuels BU and staff to get some top players, coach up said players, remember how the moment feels, schedule UConn for a two-year contract and get after him.

BUT we we got to elite 8. Big 10 tournament champions. Domask triple double in tournament. TJ triple double in season… two big 10 first team ….I will take it
UConn is a really good team. Give them their props, be thankful that our program is back where it belongs, and look forward to more Elite 8 trips and eventual Final Fours in the near future.
Just not our day. If we play them again I have no doubt it’d be much closer.

I’ll give you a bigger one. For over a decade we couldn’t even dream of playing in a regional final. Our program was dead in the water. No top recruits wanted us. We weren’t respected.In searching for a ray of sunshine amidst today's gray cloud....our frosh shot 4-4 free throws.
We got ran by a juggernaut today. So did Duke in 1990-91. It didn’t kill their program. It won’t be another 19 years I’d bet until we are back in this spot.

1. I'm sad our streak of no double digit losses had to end, and so spectacularly.
2. This is all Jeff Bezos' fault for not getting skyldub's orange Liquid Deaths delivered on time. All Illini should now boycott Amazon until which time we win a Natty.
3. Still proud of our boys for a terrific season that exceeded expectations. All seasons should be so fun and all teams should represent the O&B with such class, humor, and humility. I'll always have fond memories of this season and this team.

Same here. When I saw them in our bracket, then Auburn lost, I knew this game was our ceiling.
I should add, my original post was all positives, it is still fair to be critical of Underwood for that gameplan and performance.
Give Stephon Castle his due. He was draped all over and forced Shannon to go at the rim and meet face to face with Clingan. There is a reason they don’t surrender a lot of three point attempts and teams don’t shoot a great percentage against them.

Marcus calmly did his usual Marcus things but everyone else including TJ was either waaay sped up or waaay too timid (sometimes both). We play our normal offensive game and we’re up by 8 at the half. They couldn’t make a shot in the first half either.
