Well that sucks! Glad I went and watched my 9 year old play his tail off instead. Doubt I watch the recording.
Agreed. This loss isn't the end of the world, but after seeing how well they played Wednesday against a better team, it's frustrating to see how flat they looked today. If the Illini had come out swinging, I'd feel better about today. Even so, the overreactions here are on another level today, even for Loyalty. If you had to choose between losing today or losing on Wednesday against PSU, which would you choose? I would choose losing today.
I will humbly ask for a third choice. If you had to choose between losing today or losing on Wednesday against PSU, which would you choose? I would choose losing today.
It actually did. We would've been a 2 seed, which would've gave us a non-UConn path to the final four.Did the Maryland loss last year in January effect our seeding?
No, we shot well inside the three point line too. 16-30.ummm…shot well on FTs
And the rest was a sh&t sandwich
And I guess BU goes out and just gets another 7’?I like Tomi and hope he sticks around for another year but he is just kind of soft for a 7 footer.
Needs to add strength on the lower body and work on banging a bit more and finishing forward through contact instead of floating away.
I would much rather discuss candy bars today. So you’re saying you enjoy his 36/28/74 shooting?
I love snicker bars.
But it’s a toss up with 100grand bars
Not only today. Happens every game it seems. We missed a ton of bunnies also.
1) You could be right with your predictions...there are some things that could crop up come tourney time that could cost them. But outside of 1-2 teams, that's true about everybody. And you failed to mention that this team has a legit shot to win it all. So I don't think your post is the flex you thought it was.I told you guys at the beginning of the year that this team will lose 10+ games and at the most make the Sweet16. This team doesn't have a lock down defender especially on the wing/forward position. Ty Rodgers could have solved that issue. This team is reminiscent of the 22-23 team that was really young and that inexperience will show throughout the year. This team will have some more bad losses as the season goes on.

Not to pick on you, but losing at home shouldn't be an option to either of those teams. If you had to choose between losing today or losing on Wednesday against PSU, which would you choose? I would choose losing today.
As soon as we saw we weren’t playing well, KJ should have been in.Derek Piper just said KJ was playing 5-on-5 yesterday. Not a fan of holding him out the whole game. He could’ve steadied us in the second half at least playing fewer minutes.
We have a 7 ft center who is basically used to set screens for 3 pt shooters. Dobt blame him when we shoot 7 for 32. A zone defense would not allowed 31 points from a guard with no jump shot.
This. We should never lose at home. Never. In the early 2000s, we had a better home record than Duke. Teams knew it and were intimidated. We need to get back to opponents being afraid when they visit SFC.Not to pick on you, but losing at home shouldn't be an option to either of those teams.
We lose on the road to a meh Northwestern team and go, "Ah, well life in the B1G is hard."
Then we let a meh USC team (which had just lost to an okay, but up-and-down, Indiana team on the road by 13) come in and punk us.
Can't have it both ways.
Bad loss. Hopefully this sparks USC and they catch fire for the rest of the season so it ends up looking better, but I'm not going to hold my breath for that.
