Jevon Carter and Sindarius Thornwell are the types of kids that exemplify the "culture" that I suspect Underwood is trying to build here. Tough as nails and strong-minded kids who do the little things and play with tenacity.
Some programs are finesse. Boeheim makes a living off of the rail-thin lengthy kids who are plus athletes and really disrupt the passing lanes. Perfect for his 2-3 zone. Others prioritize aggressive defense -- Cincinnati, Purdue, etc. That's what "culture" means to me. It's more than just style of play -- it's about a mindset.
maybe some 3 stars and 2 stars ....but I dont think they have any 4 or 5 stars. someone may correct me.been keeping up with all the recruiting chatter. can anyone tell me how many 3,4,and 5 star players Loyola has. They just might be a classic example of recruiting players and not stars:thumb:

extreme synergy can beat talent (Loyola). Talent with synerygy should be the goal. talent without team synergy generally makes tournament but won't go far.I'm already tired of the But Loyola posts and we still have months (years?) more of them.
I think it's more a great example of team basketball on both ends. Instead of on offense giving it to one or two guys and others doing very little or just standing and watching.been keeping up with all the recruiting chatter. can anyone tell me how many 3,4,and 5 star players Loyola has. Loyola 24-0 when leading at the half......25-0 would be awesome.
I absolutely dislike seeing our former recruits succeed (e.g. poole, simpson). Does that make me a supreme hater or do others experience this feeling?
What's bugs me is that even "plan b" guys ended up being great. Who the hell expected Landry Shamet to be a future NBA player?
