Hawaii starts the season off with an onside kick?

Rather anti climatic. :(

Games that jump off the floor.

Bama is a 10.5 chalk vs USC in Arlington Texas.

Bama brings the best Defense in the nation vs a fast and loose young team.

Bama should cover this spread easily and win by 20.

I also see LSU destroying Wisconsin and auburn getting the upset on clemson

Yeah, I love LSU in that game. I don't see it being a crazy blowout but I see it being something like:

LSU 31
Wisky: 13

I think that Clemson covers the -7 with ease

LSU is a 10 point chalk in this game.

I have looked at both teams in depth and at ground level.

LSU is clearly head and shoulders above Wisky at this time.

LSU by 17 (maybe more).

I think that unders in the NW game (52) look interesting.

It does look interesting the O/U is 52 points. NW is favored by 5.

The Cats should easily cover the spread of 5. I do not see a shootout to get to 52 points for the game. Defense will be a major factor.

Good test for the Kitty Cats first game.

Garrick McGee's recruit over at Louisville, Lamar Jackson is going HAM.

7/10 passing for 130 yards and 3 passing TDs.
9 rushes for 104 yards and 2 rushing TDs.

Oh and it's early in the second quarter.

Folks - McGee left that offense to come be the OC at U of I.

Final score tonight in Charleston: WIU 38 EIU 21

WIU is a good team though EIU made some mistakes, including three turnovers, which ended up costing them in this game. EIU did play a lot better in this game than they did in Macomb last season. 10 point swing in Western's favor late in the 1st half really swung this game in the Leathernecks' favor.

EIU travels to Miami (OH) next weekend.

Anyone see App State took Tennessee to overtime & missed extra point & field goal in regulation + were driving down to 30 yd line or so when time in regulation ran out. Would have been almost as big a Win as beating Michigan back when they were FBS/1-AA. Up 13 -3 at half, they couldn't finish.

McShane for WIU looked pretty good. Led team in rushing and receiving. Only a sophomore.

Very Zook-ish clock management by App State at the end of regulation. Why they didn't use their last time out is a mystery.

Heard that from someone, but game was SEC network so didn't see any of the game. Just tried to find the highlight & now I see that TN touchdown in OT was after APP caused the QB to fumble on 4th down & TN was able to recover in the end zone. App missed fg was also late in 4th Qtr... TN got lucky to survive that one. Miami is playing in Boone in a couple of weeks, will be interesting to see if APP can play that well against Miami. When we talk about stupid scheduling, why would Miami want or need to play APP in Boone?

I get what they were trying to do, save the timeout so they didn't have to rush the field goal team on, but it all just blew up in their faces when they had a screen pass get blown up on an excellent play by a DB at the worst possible time. Should have used the last timeout there in retrospect, but they just got caught in-between. You never think 26-27 seconds is going to tick down as fast as it does.

They also lost a bunch of time earlier in the drive when a WR inexplicably stayed inbounds trying to pick up a first down he was never going to get to.

Week 1 college football man, life comes at you fast.

Did anyone else watch the Minnesota game with their three targeting ejections. It seems like they are getting very serious about helmet-to-helmet contact on defenseless players with the new rules. I think if these rules were in place last year, that hit Iowa did to Allison on the sidelines would have resulted in an ejection.

Houston is embarrassing OU. Hugely important game for the CFP.
