What most people don't realize is that every "winning" coach has had a superlative QB.

Andy Reid - Mahomes
Chuck Noll - Terry Bradshaw
Vince Lombardi - Bart Starr
Bill Walsh - Joe Montana
George Seifert - Steve Young
Tom Landry - Roger Staubach
Buddy Ryan - Randall Cunningham
Tom Flores - Jim Plunkett
John Madden - Kenny Stabler
Mike Marta - Kurt Warner
Mike Holmgren - Bret Favre
Tony Dungy - Peyton Manning
Sean Payton - Drew Brees
Don Shula - Johnny Unitas, Dan Marino

It's not very often that a coach is successful even in the short term without a stud QB.

And DeBoer can go away. As soon as possible is ok with me. Realize won't happen until the end of the year. He is now 6-4 against unranked teams. Saban was 124-4 in 17 seasons against unranked teams. Let that soak in.

As a Seattleite whose casual team to follow when Illinois isn’t playing is UW … let’s just say we’re really hating every terrible moment of Karma DeTraitor’s fall from the heights he rode Penix — and Chris Petersen’s recruits — to here.

Last year the excuse was he didn’t have Grubb calling plays. Welp.

Could it just be ‘Bama is mortal now that everyone else can pay players?

Ditka is kinda an outlier - he won with a great team and a QB that was more of a game manager than a great QB. I wouldn't put McMahon in the same class as a Brady, Montana, Bress, Manning, etc. But as the list is a little subjective, I'll allow it.
