Minnesota was supposed to run all over Nebby…perhaps the wrong direction? Lol

Let me know if this is incorrect, but my novice thoughts on today's games...

Texas Tech at #7 TCU: Go Tech! This one is currently tied. In the event it ends up affecting our bowl positioning, I want fewer Big XII/ACC/Pac-12 CFP contenders. Again, we control our own destiny, but in the event it matters ... I would love for two potential spots for Ohio State and Michigan if it's not us. On that note...

#15 Penn State at Indiana: GO HOOSIERS! Lol. This one will probably be an easy PSU win, but I would love for them to trip up and for us to potentially establish ourselves as currently being the clear Rose Bowl team if OSU and Michigan both sneak into the CFP.

Iowa at Purdue: Count me in the camp that is currently bummed out and rooting for Iowa. I want Gameday in Champaign next week, and I am relatively confident we can beat Purdue anyway.

#2 Ohio State at Northwestern: Is this not bad? Thinking back to 2007, if WE aren't the ones in the CFP ... then we want it to be another Big Ten team so that we continue to climb up the bowl pecking order. My ideal outcome here is that we see proof that OSU is beatable (hopefully in Indy!) yet they still scrap out the victory.

Most of the other games, I am just enjoying them, lol.

The unmitigated joy at NW beating tOSU outweighs all for me. Then again I am in the camp that the playoff is a dream.

I also am not even considering a CFP berth, but I AM hoping for sneaking into the Rose Bowl. And that scenario requires Michigan and OSU to sneak into the Playoff, IMO, unless we run the table (at which point, WE would be in the CFP...).

Aaaaaaand Iowa returns the 2nd half opening kickoff. Purdue is broken.
Handling success and attention in college sports is really hard. That's probably the most impressive thing we've done this year. The Wisconsin win changed the landscape for the whole program and changed the spotlight on the team, and yet we've seen that same team with that same attention to detail in every game sense as that spotlight has grown and grown.

I said it weeks ago: this team is arrogant in a good way.

Another test today, with Mother Nature being a new opponent.

Minnesota trailing Nebraska 10-0
Maryland trailing Wisconsin 17-0
Purdue trailing Iowa 17-3

Those Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin wins might look pretty good by the end of the year.
I think the Wisconsin win is going to look very, very good by the end of the year. That's a typical solid Wisconsin team that just seemed to lack that little something extra, and they're still going to likely end up with 8 wins and a decent bowl game.
