Football rankings are largely based on brand
I don’t see enough teams falling out of the rankings to open a slot for us.
If we would have beaten PU and Duke I think we would barely be ranked in the top 20
BB is correct an SEC would be ranked until it’s proven they aren’t good. Also O$U will still be ranked somehow next week
By the end of the season the rankings are about right but mid season it’s more projection than resume

You didn’t have fun today? Oh man, I had an absolute blast. With no risk to my own team losing because we already won, I got to watch:
- Oregon win (improving the optics of our win against them)
- UCLA win (protecting their rank for our matchup)
- Iowa win (protecting their rank for our matchup)
- Northwestern lose (haha they suck again)
I have no interest in the fake top 25 SEC matchups, so a few of those games being lopsided didn’t bother me. It was just about a perfect football Saturday.
