He has a dog named Butkus after all. He's always been class. Go Iowa!
If the search function on this board is to be trusted, this was the 8th time in IL's history that this phrase has been posted!

Fahey is not a good qb. I would take Clayton over Fahey.
Jeremiah Smith had 7 catches on 10 targets for 133 yards.

For comparison, Illinois gave Collin Dixon 16 targets against Nebraska.

Charles Davis was pointing out how their plays were designed for Smith, but the QB wasn't throwing to him.

You have to be able to get your best player the ball.

Guy catches the ball with both feet in, then takes another step OB with ball in his hands before being stripped while out of bounds. Incomplete?

Only in South Bend Indiana.

And Ann Arbor Michigan.

This reminds me of the Brian Hightower play against Indiana:

Broadcast agreed with the call, so it probably was correct, but he clearly has possession with two feet down.
My opinion only, but I thought it was an incomplete pass. The Miami receiver didn’t complete the catch, as he lost control before being able to “make another football play” (not sure of the exact wording in the NCAA football rulebook, but there is something defining this).

We see this a lot when a player hits the ground and the ball comes loose. That’s incomplete, as the player needs to maintain control after contact with the ground. Same concept here. The fan in me wanted this to be a catch and a TD, but the right call was ultimately made.
