Looking at these bowl projections I have to take a moment to vent. I was at the Oregon / Oregon State game on Saturday - we’re adopted Ducks fans too as my son goes there and my daughter just got accepted with a scholarship.

At any rate, the Ducks literally clenched defeat from the jaws of victory at that game and we had first row tickets to that $h!t show. Why, why, why would Lanning go for it on 4th and 1 on their own 29 with 8 minutes left in the fourth quarter when the Ducks are up by 3? And a ROSE BOWL ON THE LINE. You don’t make it and it’s an instant field goal for OSU. And of course the Beavers scored a TD to take the game. Dan Lanning, let me introduce you to the idea of a ‘cost function’ when applying statistics. I keep hearing ppl say you should always go for it on 4th down, but sometimes the cost of failure at that point is just too high. Geez.

They also decided to try to run up the middle after getting stuffed countless times. And then by a miracle they actually had a chance at the end of the game to score a TD and win but again they run it up the middle and get stuffed 3x (again) before deciding to pass. What the actual *#%@? Here is a snapshot from the last set from our seats. So close and yet so far.

This guy is low key humble bragging about his great seats at a great game. Seriously though, hope you had a great time. I've always loved the Ducks uniforms.

Lol maybe if we won. But it just adds to the pain to be that close to it (and pay for the privilege) and see such an epic collapse. Besides, most of the action was at the other end zone, adding insult to injury.

Thanks for sharing - they went for it on 4th & 1 also in the Washington game. Ball on their own 30 with maybe 2 minutes left, tie game. The RB slipped and went down behind the line to gain.

Washington kicked a FG & won in regulation. I couldn't fathom the idiocy in that call.

Saw that too (on TV). So frustrating.
