SMU making it close against Clemson. Sounds like a narrow Clemson win gives us the best chance of facing Bama.
the bears did the same thing a couple weeks ago but i believe converted the second time they went for 2 and i didn't understand the decision then either because they had like a whole quarter left to play. now if PSU scores another TD they HAVE to convert just to tie otherwise they will still be losing and likely lose the gameI still don’t get going for 2 when you are down 14. You have a way higher chance of converting 2 XPs, than even getting 1 successful 2 pointer. The goal should be to not lose the game and in college when both teams gets a chance with the ball in OT, it makes little sense to go for 2. In the NFL it’s different
They might win it in reg.If Clemson wins in OT, they aren’t going to leave SMU out at 11-2. That’s was a championship type drive at the end of regulation there. If they do then there is obvious bias for Bama. They lost to Vandy and Oklahoma. Sorry that’s not worthy of a CFP berth.
Yes I was editing my post back and forth when it was happening. They might win it in reg.
EDIT: And they do!
Ugly look, and another nail in the bowl coffinMarshall has opted out of Independence Bowl match-up vs. Army. Thundering Herd have 25+ players in the transfer portal and their head coach Charles Huff was named the new head coach at Southern Miss last week.
