I was very surprised to not see OU call a timeout on 2nd down (they did after the successful 3rd down stop). Given field position, that's you spot to know Michigan probably won't be too flashy and save some clock.
I've also never got it with Mateer. Seems to have a number of the physical tools, but never puts it together. Kind of a SEC version of Drew Allar. Two totally inaccurate throws on 3rd and 4th downs.

While I agree with the overturning, you have to think there was a subconscious ‘not WMU’ again in the booth.
I honestly think he got across on the first effort and was pulled back after.

Just as an addendum to my previous post, Purdue's last home win against a current P4 school, was in 2019 when they defeated Vanderbilt.
