Might be a while. DeBoer is a really solid coach IMHO, but there are signs that coaching in the South vs what he did at Washington are apples and oranges. Following a legend doesn't help either. They can't afford to buy him out, so he'll get plenty of time.
Literally

Duke is a really good team. Don't let their last game fool you. They could very easily win this game. They are not N. Carolina. If we cannot stop their run game, we are in big big trouble. Their q.b. is really good.
Their run D is not very good. We control the clock, we control the game. BB/Lunney/Henry will come up with the game plan to run the ball and slow their passing game down.

One thing I noticed in the AP poll was 4 teams won and dropped in the poll, of course they were not SEC teams. You have to win and be a SEC team to move up I guess. Six SEC teams won and moved up.

SC jumping us makes sense if you look at the voter breakdown from Week 1.

Most common vote for SC was 11, but 8 people didn't vote for them at all.
Most common vote for us was 13, and 5 people didn't vote for us at all.

SC voters stick at 11 and many of those 8 people change their ballots and they easily jump us.
Thanks. Too many people don't understand this.

This narrative of SEC bias in the polls is exhausting. 5 teams in AP top 25 won and dropped in the polls (ASU fell one spot below us, Michigan dropped a spot after winning easily but far from dominant, SMU dropped a spot mainly due to FSU and Iowa State rising...not SEC schools, IU dropped 3 spots due to playing a cupcake and struggling, and Texas Tech dropped a spot due to teams mentioned earlier). This early movement is due to volatility in early season polls, not some grand conspiracy in favor of SEC schools. If it were the case, Bama would not get hammered like they did for losing a true road game at FSU.

Sorry I exhausted you for pointing out a few facts to poke fun at the SEC. Lighten up. I better not tell you my other opinions on this Big Ten board, Texas was not the number one team, Illinois is better than South Carolina and the Manning kid is not the best QB this year.
