Another top game today is Arizona State-BYU.

Among the state schools, there's ISU at EIU in the 109th Mid-America Classic which will air on ESPN+ with kick-off set for 6:00 PM, Eastern Washington at WIU, Dayton at SIU, and NIU at Michigan.

If Nebraska loses by less than 25 , they can hold their head up. If Oklahoma wins by less than 35, they didnt put forth enough effort. This game should be essentially over by half, unless Oklahoma plays subs alot.

Im sure Nebraska will tell me to shove their "Hold their heads high " against Oklahoma. This game shows why Oklahoma is not #3 in the nation and when they transfer to the SEC, they may not even be top 10. They got nothing to brag about in thiis game .

We beat Nebraska by 8 and Oklahoma only beats them by 7...so we are better than Oklahoma right?
Both were road games for Nebraska, so yeah. Of course. In fact, I think we must be a lot better than Oklahoma 'cause it was our opener and our offense wasn't the finely-tuned machine we saw last evening.

I watch a lot of games beside Big10, and I have a passionate ,hard-on dislike for Alabama, but I havent seen anyone this year who could give them a competitive game.

I'm guessing you mean in the Big10, because Florida is trading punches with them pretty well right now.

Meanwhile, UVA down 14-0 to UNC 8 minutes into the 1st Qtr. So, no they are not as good we built them up to be.

UNC was also a preseason Top 10 team. I don’t think anyone has hyped up UVA being top 10 good. But they are certainly a contender within their division.

I know the transitive property doesn't work in sports...

Having said that, UNC is lighting up UVA tonight.

Also, I loathe the SEC but most of the other teams that have challenged them in the past look vulnerable this year to say the least.

24-21 going into half now. Though, as you said, can’t do the transitive property to yourself. If that was the case, NIU would have been competitive with Clemson, despite getting absolutely destroyed by Michigan today.

Yeah that halftime score makes me feel a bit better. I really think UVA will be ranked at some point this year. We may have helped them look unstoppable but I think they are a pretty good team.

Final score in Charleston: ISU 31 EIU 24

EIU falls to 0-3 on the season. Panthers return to action next Saturday in their OVC opener at Tennessee Tech. Kickoff is set for 1:30 PM and the game will air on ESPN+.

With the victory, Brock Spack now has 87 career victories at ISU and is the winningest coach in Redbirds football history. The previous record of 86 was held by Edwin Struck, who coached at ISU from 1945-1964.

Penn St beat Auburn. I can't wait to hear the drivel from the SEC's superb marketing machine over that one. I hope it is not as bad as the junk used to explain LSU's loss to UCLA.
