I gotta say, the Colorado experiment is going really well for them! They jumped to a conference where they have a real chance of competing and that isn't disappearing, and they're 3-0 under their new coach. I'm loving the story unfold, and I know a lot of people will be watching as the road ahead gets more difficult. But the thing that impresses me most is the contract. It's very clear that the Coach Prime brand is being co-promoted by the school, so revenue through the Prime brand is probably viewed as part of the compensation package, in the sense that there's sales goals, etc. The more the university helps the Prime brand grow, the happier their coach is and the more tickets and jerseys their program(s) sell.

But most coaches don't have a brand to leverage the same way Coach Prime does, so it's a fairly unique situation, and hard for other schools to follow.

Btw, when the CSU coach said something like "I take off my sunglasses when I talk to adults.", I heard that as "In this age of transfer portal and NIL money, is it important to have a coach who understands the value of branding, or not?" Because the Coach Prime brand, including merch like sunglasses and hats, are absolutely killing it right now. Coach Prime understands branding, and how to make money from it. Evidently he's also a good coach.

This is the week when we know if CU is good. Their star player is out first road game and playing a quality opponent. Sanders at qb has been impressive but Oregon should have good corners who will force him to throw in tighter windows. There are a lot of qbs who can’t throw into tight coverage. If I am Oregon I wouldn’t play a soft zone

This week would have been appropriate for game day to gone to Eugene but O$U vs ND got it even though the game is on NBC

Other 2 games I am interested in is RU vs scUM. Are they good or just taking advantage of a weak schedule? I also think PSU vs Iowa will be telling how good those teams are. If PSU wins they will be in the conversation for CFP because OSU and ND will hurt one of their chances. Iowa loses then big ten west is wide open

There was no way they were not gonna go to Ohio State/Notre Dame this weekend unless either team had lost last weekend. And again, the network the game is on doesn't matter anymore when it comes to where Gameday goes.

Colorado vs. TCU was a road game for Colorado.

So our best interest is hold our nose and hope northwestern wins.

But who you rooting for in the Purdue game? Purdue wins and they gain confidence?

Wisconsin wins they'd have a big road win in the west race.

I’m curious how KU will do against BYU. The Mizzou Memphis game is intriguing as well with Mizzou winning on the last sec fg. I was a bit surprised they beat KState.

He's killing it in every way. I saw somewhere the ratings for the CSU game last week were over 9 million. Not many regular season games get those kinds of numbers.

Personally, I kinda like seeing a non-traditional coach make it. It's such an amazing story to start coaching sons in HS before the Jackson State job. Will be interesting to watch how his teams do.
