So what will the over/under be on Napier's firing and the "Cignetti to Florida" rumors starting. (I do realize this will probably get moved to the coaching carousel thread, but it will likely be a Week 5 storyline given it's Florida.)

I say 8 PM tonight.

Is there even a reason for him to leave Indiana at this point?

Indiana football vs Florida football.

That’s a pretty easy choice to make, particularly since the Florida money will clearly be an order of magnitude greater. Despite the NCAA hoops title this year, Florida is very much a football school.

Maybe not. This is an NIL sport now. He who has a lot of NIL can win anywhere. If IU is smart they will throw everything he wants at him to stay.

Plus, he's 64 years old. He's a head coach in the Big Ten. He'll be applying for Medicare next year. He's done the impossible at Indiana. Should be his last stop.

What a massive week for college football. I'd be surprised if 1 of ND, tOSU, or IU doesn't lose. Maybe even more than 1.

I'll call it now. Iowa is gonna beat Indiana. Classic trap spot. Big impressive home win over a (flawed) top 10 team. Oregon waiting the week following. And Iowa appears to at least have a serviceable QB. I watched that game vs Rutgers & he made a few really nice throws. I could see a grinder 24-17 type of game.

I believe IU wins, but I would not be surprised if Iowa were to win either. It is very tough to go into Kinnick and come out with a victory. If IU were to do that, then they have proven they deserve a top 10 ranking (destroying an overrated top 10 team at home and then winning in a very tough road environment). IU still does not have a marquis road victory over the past two seasons...I would say that winning @Iowa would classify as one. IU has proven capable of winning the big game at home, but they have not shown that they can do that on the road (they have only really had two opportunities @OSU and @ND, and both were double-digit losses where they looked overmatched -- both played in National Champ game, so no shame there). They do get three opportunities for high-quality road wins this season (@Iowa, @Oregon, and @Penn State). If IU makes the CFP this season, then they 100% earned it. They were talked down last season due to their soft schedule, and I do believe it was a slight disservice to how efficient they were last season.

The one area where Iowa has advantage is if the game is tight in the 4th quarter. IU simply has not been in the position of being in a tight game very often under Cignetti. It is one thing to jump on the opponent early and increasing the lead throughout game, and quite another to be in a tight contest throughout (only the Michigan game last year truly classifies as one of these, IMO). If it is a one-score game, I think Iowa wins. However, it would not surprise me if IU wins by double-digits.

It's very difficult to win at Kinnick... and It's also very difficult to keep up the emotional high after such a big game/win last week even for Indiana... Although I'm still not convinced that Iowa's QB is all that solid... could be close.

Iowa winning is never a good thing and would make our loss last week look even worse. IU winning is a better look for us.
I don't think our loss can look any worse than it was. Would also like to see IA out physical IN, especially in Ferentz' homestretch

I would agree if it weren't for a bye week for IU next week. I think that will keep them locked in and not looking toward Oregon. That being said... Kinnick has made plenty of magic in the past so you never know.

Also regarding Iowa... check out how tough their schedule is. I didn't realize how important that Rutgers game was for them. And even with that win, they still might not get to 6 wins.
