I'm no fan of theirs, but Notre Dame is certainly playing a heck of a schedule this year.

Ohio State, at Duke, at Louisville, USC, and at Clemson (though I realize Clemson isn't the Clemson of the past few years).

Louisville only looks impressive because they've played nobody so far. The way the schedule worked out this year, they didn't have to play Florida State, Clemson, or North Carolina.

It may have already been posted, but I see Cade McNamara is out for the year with a torn ACL. Might be tough for the yodeling Iowa coach to get up that mountain now.

I'm in a dark place right now, but if we really have nothing left to play for at that point against Iowa, I'd deeply consider letting them score a TD every possession. Forcing Brian Ferentz on Iowa for a few more seasons is worth a 70pt loss

Some Big Ten (and future Big Ten) TV ratings from last week. The Illini are not available, as we were on Peacock. I also could not get ratings for our other future Big Ten members from the Pac-12, as to my knowledge there is no way to get ratings for the Pac-12 Network.

7.24 million for #8 USC at Colorado (11:00 am on FOX)
4.48 million for #2 Michigan at Nebraska (2:30 pm on FOX)
2.17 million for Michigan State at Iowa (6:30 pm on NBC)
1.12 million for #6 Penn State at Northwestern OR Louisiana at Minnesota (both 11:00 am on BTN) ... we all know that was PSU, haha.
349k for Indiana at Maryland OR Wagner at Rutgers (2:30 pm on BTN) ... Maryland continues to get shockingly bad TV ratings.

As I will be in Kinnick that day, no thank you to witnessing a 70-point Iowa barrage.

As to the drive for 325, I can already hear the lost QB excuses when they don't enforce that clause.
I’ve already heard similar rumblings from my Hawkeye friends. Did Brian sign his contract before or after Cade transferred there? Just goes to show you can’t put all your eggs into one basket.

I don’t think many if any need further proof that college sports is more about money now than the students — both those that play as well as the others — but if you do consider this. Conference USA has 4 games scheduled this week. Two were played last night (Wednesday) and two tonight. When I saw that it bothered me a lot more than I would have expected. So much for that Saturday college football game experience. I just find that very sad.

I think all college games (other than bowl games and playoffs) should be played on Saturday or Saturday night. I say this as I prepare for tomorrow nights game as one of two I chose to attend this season. 😐

I toured University of Colorado with my son yesterday. Nice campus, and they’re excited about football. Don’t worry, I didn’t purchase this gear.

yea, those days are over with the huge TV contracts .
And a more high lined Friday night game every week is likley on the horizon.
None of this 12th place B1G vs 11th place B1G stuff for long. They want to draw fans to a night with no competition from other major conferences

It was indeed a very nice campus. The surrounding area is beautiful as well.

We’re thinking of relocating to either Colorado or the Chicago area around the time he’ll start college, so we could get to in state tuition pretty early in his college years.

Just watched Maryland brain cramp away 3 points prior to halftime. QB checked down with 6 seconds and no timeouts left. Stupid play.
