This is why I was so angry yesterday, despite the win. (Didn't post much in that regard, would just have gotten yelled at.)
Angry about the fumbles, to be clear. And some on the lack of tackling too.
As shown by the 73% PGWE, we soundly beat USC on paper. If the final score correctly reflected this and was more like 31-14, the narrative coursing through the polls and the national media would not be happening. Would at least offset 63-10 a little bit.
We need to bleed Purdue put 45 plus on them.....jump a couple spots next week ... then come home and crack those buckeyes
USC can help us quickly. Michigan then ND next 2 weeks. They won't stop Michigan's running attack so that's a longshot. Think they have a puncher's chance in a shootout vs ND

Notre Dame is gonna run USC out of the building, especially at home. There's a 4 pt difference from ND from being ranked #1 in the country and ND's current ranking. People see the 2 losses but forget it's from 3pts @Miami and 1pt against TA&M from a muffed XP.
While all that is factually true, the reality is ND's defense is simply awful here, at the start of the season. It's possible their offense can outscore whatever the defense gives up, but they're going to have to make huge improvements on D, if they're going to make a run. That said, they should handle USC here in 3 weeks.
Actually, the sun doesn't rise. We just spin around to where we can see it, then we keep spinning until it's out of sight. Claiming that it rises would be controversial.
