Week 7 Games

I mean, we can look back at last week and be frustrated/disappointed with a close game against MSU, but Sparty is in prime position to beat a Northwestern that has looked quite solid to start the year.

Sayin out of the game with a shoulder injury. OSU has a True FR backup QB - huge dropoff. Indiana table.is set in final 3 min

I wonder what MSU's NIL budget is because I could see Fitz falling flat on his face if he doesn't get huge amounts of money.
In his last three seasons played in front of fans at Northwestern he went 3-24 in the Big Ten and they were immediately much better without him.

He was a guy a lot like Dabo Swinney who a cult got built around. That's a figure of a different era of college football.

Hoover is Indiana’s weakness. The rest of the team is well rounded but he’s very limited due to his height

That's not all the WR's fault, that's a terrible throw

EDIT: You know what, on second look, the throw isn't THAT bad. Marsh ought to be more aware of where he is.
Good correction. The QB got it out in front, it wasn't carrying the WR out of bounds, he just lost where he was on the sideline. That's just the WR not focusing on details and he knew it the second he caught it. I feel for him because that play, right or wrong, is going to be what's remembered for the foreseeable future. Just can't happen in a game played at that level.

And Maryland loses almost the exact same way, a last second 4th down TD taken away because of a toe out of bounds

I do give IU credit , as their D is stout, but they were due for some turnovers and bad luck.
they won a game at PSU last year with a guy getting his foot inbounds in the end zone by 2".

if Sayin is out for a long time, IU could still end up first in the league

He definitely doesn't have Mendoza's physical tools, but if Marsh does his job... it's a 22-19 Indiana win and we're not thinking about the QB as a weakness. We're talking about him driving them down the field in a perfectly drawn up 4th down play. He delivered a catchable ball and his guy lost where he was.

things aren’t going to be perfect. you need to know where you are on the field. qb put it there, WR messed it up
You at least have to understand the situation enough to know that you need to keep a foot inbounds, even if it means you have to make the catch attempt more difficult.

This is the quietist I have ever heard the big house. DPI call on PSU, dead silence. Underwood.throws a.pick, dead silence. Sounds.like a Beckman era Memorial Stadium - just embracing the suck in stunned silence.
