Surely a blue blood can walk into pinnacle bank...Ever heard of a blue-blood program that hasn’t finished a season ranked top 25 in Kenpom since 2016?
My end of season prediction:Ok, now every B1G team has played at least 2 games...

Keep in mind it's still extremely early in the conference slate (MSU's 2 games were from a month ago, and they've looked like a different team since then). However, some early observation:
1. Illinois has had 2 very good games to start the conference slate, one month apart.
2. Wisconsin and Purdue are a clear tier above the rest early on.
3. Nebraska might be ok this year, maybe make a run for a tournament bid and a 5th or 6th place finish in the B1G depending on how Ohio State progresses.
4. There are a lot of bad teams in the B1G this year, but maybe not an awful team. Iowa, though, is bad and should feel bad.
FIFYMy end of season prediction:
1. Illinois (starting five)
2. Illinois (bench)
3. Illinois (strength and conditioning staff - was going to call this a tossup but they'd triple team Chester and Tyler every time they touch the ball)
4. Illinois (coaching staff)
5. Illinois (team managers)
6. Illinois (SFC security)
7. Purdue
8. Illinois (marketing staff)
9. Illinois (facilities management)
10. Illinois (friends and family)
11. Illinois (random crowd selection)

I love that this has so many likes. Going to assume it's because all these people get the reference. More of us!Ever heard of a blue-blood program that hasn’t finished a season ranked top 25 in Kenpom since 2016?
Really, really young + terrible roster construction. They have no shooters - I think they’ve got one guy on the roster hitting above 30% from behind the arc. Not a recipe for success in today’s NCAA. It’s going to be a LONG season in Westwood. What happened to UCLA? They're awful, would be the worst team in the conference right now, hopefully that can be said next year as well.
There appears to be more of us than there are of them. The internet will be out in Indiana on Thursday
If Pikiell were our coach, yeah he would have been in trouble. But RU... the last time they were in the tourney before him was like 1991... Pikiell has certainly raised the expectation and we will see what happens but I agree the next two years are critical for him.osu up on ru 41-27 @ osu................I'm probably in the minority here but I don't see the praise usually offered about Pikiell's coaching ability............Seems to me he has underperformed with the talent level of the past few years at ru............Always a bubble team and doesn't seem to be a very good X's and O's coach.........I believe he is the most overrated coach in the B$G.....I really really do.......seems like a nice guy , but you know what they say about nice guys............
he has the # 2 ranked recruiting class for next year so if he continues with the level of play of the last 4-5 years going forward , maybe or really , he should be on the hot seat.........JMHO
Absolutely agreed. I mean Pikiell is bringing in the #2 recruiting class in the country next year. To Rutgers. Rutgers! Having him on the hot seat now would be similar to us when we fired Zook, except if Zook was bringing in Saban level classes. We wound up getting Timmy the Clown out of it. Should Rutgers expect any better? Who'd be their functional equivalent? Juwan? Sadly as we well know, the grass isn't always greener...If Pikiell were our coach, yeah he would have been in trouble. FWIW , I didn't say Pikiell COULDN'T coach , I think he is the most overrated coach in the B$G.......Yeah , I know he has raised ru's expectations , but that's not my slant on my post......If Pikiell were our coach, yeah he would have been in trouble. I think Rutgers will be foolish to do anything to Pikiell even if they miss the tourney for a couple years or three. To me, just like a lot of other coaches, Pikiell needs senior guards who perform and they simply don't have them this year. They either have to pull them from the Portal or wait until they grow up. I am not super high on Pikiell so far though since he has not shown abilities to pull in good transfers. However, if he can lure in a #2 prep class, why can't he do that with transfers?Absolutely agreed. I mean Pikiell is bringing in the #2 recruiting class in the country next year. To Rutgers. Rutgers! Idk. I think Pikiell has been average or slightly above that; maybe overrated but not bad. But it may or may not matter... I think the game in town these days are the NIL and portal. The winners are the one who adapt. You don't wait until your Geo Baker turns senior anymore.FWIW , I didn't say Pikiell COULDN'T coach , I think he is the most overrated coach in the B$G.......Yeah , I know he has raised ru's expectations , but that's not my slant on my post......
I gave my opinion on Pikiell against the rest of the B$G coaches , nothing more........
Sorry about your ACL @Bryce Hopkins
They did not show up….They are M.I.A.Penn State is looking pretty horrid against Sparty tonite . . .
5 of 20 from the field. No thanks although it is impressive for a triple doubleCurbelo with a Triple Double for Southern Miss tonight
Absolutely correct. Significant accomplishment. But 5-21 shooting is not ideal.Curbelo with a Triple Double for Southern Miss tonight
