I have a burner twitter account and didn’t have much going on at work today so I spent a lot of my time going back and forth with Michigan & MSU fans about how neither of them have played anyone yet and all of their responses were “Northwestern and USC!! Haha”…… POETIC!!! ILL

Take care of business tomorrow and we are right back in the conversation

I’m in the camp that believes the Gophers will go winless in the B1G this year, but I hope you’re right. I just don’t see them with any player that matches up well with any team, let alone Michigan. I will gladly rerturn to eat crow though, if necessary.
Dinner time (just kidding)

Ha! Great finish. Reminds me of Harper beating Purdue a few years ago.

Agreed. But the worst team in the conference unexpectedly beating a title contender is a huge help for Illinois regardless. It's basically a free loss for UM.
IMO it's basically the same as us losing to USC at home. I think USC is better than MINN but it was at home and USC going into that game was seen as kinda the same way although it does look like they're turning things around.

But on top of that, we were without arguably the best player in the conference... this one was at full strength!

Meanwhile, Memphis doing Memphis things again once conference play hits. Difference this year is that the AAC is  terrible, and every loss is a bad loss.

Minny is objectively the worst big ten team and arguably the worst in P5.

USC has the horses to win games, this is one of the worst losses in conference play league wide.

Perhaps but we have a bit more room for error with our wins. We have 5 quad one wins while Michigan only has 3 along with 2 quad two losses prior to this game.

Yeah Minny is 137 in the NET, 42 spots lower than the second-lowest B1G team.

Edit: The only power 5 teams that are lower are Seton Hall and five ACC teams (is the ACC even power 5 anymore? Lol).

USC has already moved up to a Q2, Minn has no chance of getting out of Q3 so going to ultimately be a bigger stain on Michigan than our loss even if it was at home. I kept waiting for Minn to blow it with every possession and they did just enough! Shout out to Vlad and his very unclutch FTs in OT and end of regulation
