KenPom projects them to finish 11-9. What am I missing?Look at their remaining schedule. They’ll be one of the top teams in the league, barring something crazy.
That win @Michigan may be the single biggest resume builder in the sport.
I think at some point it’s a reflection of the locker room. Truth is they’re very undermanned talent wise, so it takes a certain mental makeup to get up for every game, especially after cumulative losses.Penn State lost to Michigan State, Michigan, Purdue and Illinois by an average of 5 points.
Penn State lost to Indiana, UCLA, Maryland, and Wisconsin (for a half) by an average of 27 points.
Here’s their remaining schedule. I don’t see them losing any of the next three, and I think they find a way to go 2-2 in the stretch of IND, IL, MSU, OSU.KenPom projects them to finish 11-9. What am I missing?

that's a crazy stat. talk about mailing it in... or stepping it up. I'm confusedPenn State lost to Michigan State, Michigan, Purdue and Illinois by an average of 5 points.

But they won the second half by a point. What misery for the mighty Badgers:Penn State![]()
Penn State outscores Wisconsin 49-48 in the second half, clearly ruining the win for Wisconsin.
I mean they just lost their last two games by a combined 50 points (one of them, a horrid Maryland team).I’ll give Rhoades credit … His teams play f’ing hard asfor him …
Did you watch the 1st half or just the 2nd?I’ll give Rhoades credit … His teams play f’ing hard asfor him …
KenPom has them losing 7 of their last 9.Here’s their remaining schedule. I don’t see them losing any of the next three, and I think they find a way to go 2-2 in the stretch of IND, IL, MSU, OSU.
Going into those final 6 games with just 4 losses should make you a team to be reckon with. JMO.
Obviously there’s always a scenario to fall off a cliff.

I'm glad I am not into sports gambling. I thought there was a decent chance Penn State knocked off Wisconsin tonight...
Really looking forward to a few of the early games on Saturday:
11 am CT - Nebraska @ Minnesota - can Nebraska finally lose one already, please
11 am CT - #22 UNC @ #14 Virginia - curious to know how UVa got good all of a sudden
1 pm CT - Illinois women @ #24 Nebraska - it's on BTN, been watching a lot of their games this year
1 pm CT - #6 Houston @ #12 Texas Tech - they moved this time up due to weather, 17 degrees with snow in Lubbock (!), go Red Raiders
Husker fan here...At this point, I'm rooting for Nebraska to stay undefeated (means winning @Michigan) until we play them next weekend. Then we can give them their first loss.
I'd have fired Gard by now. It's clear his teams are winning based on the resources/reputation and not anything he's doing coaching-wise.
