Boy will these 4 games have a hand in the BIG race:

Purdue @ Indiana
Nebraska @ Michigan
Michigan @ Michigan State
Illinois @ Nebraksa

All this week.
I still want Nebby to beat Michigan. They'll be way too amped up emotionally to then come back and play a great game against us.

They'll still have a chance for 4 losses: Illinois, Purdue, @Iowa, West Coast swing.

I would rather hand Nebby their second loss and Michigans 2nd loss! If it came to that🙂ohhh and MSU their 3rd loss! A man can dream right!

This “top tier” of 9 freshman have just been astoundingly good.

In whichever order you’d like:

— AJ Dybantsa
— Darryn Peterson (when healthy; has been hurt)
— Cam Boozer

Everyone talked about that top 3 coming into the year. But you also have:

— Caleb Wilson
— Koa Peat
— Mikel Brown (when healthy; has been hurt)
— Kingston Flemings
— Darius Acuff
— and of course, Keaton Wagler

Would not be surprised if those are the top 9 picks this year (again, not order specified).

Of course the most absurd data point is that all those guys were five stars, except for Wagler who was ranked #261.

Overall — SO many great, great freshman.

This class is just really stacked. Next year’s collection of prospects don’t seem to be as enticing from what I’ve heard.

All this week.
This would put us in a 2-way tie for 1st with MSU...

How about we just win @nebraska, @msu, home against UM & all of our other games and then 9 postseason games? Then we don’t have to worry about anything besides what type of Champagne we want.

Just tell the other teams the shouldn’t even try….. what’s the point? 😎

I always try to remind myself that as much as the Illini want to win, most times the opponent is trying just as hard to win!!!

I like this team, I think they have a shot to beat anybody once BAM is back. Just going to come down to defense, effort, and just enough shooting.

Everyone should want Michigan to beat Nebraska. If nebraska wins that game they will probably only lose 2 conference games at the most. Look at their schedule.
I still see 4 potential losses for them: Illinois at home, Purdue at home, @Iowa, one on the west coast.

People forget very quickly there's still lots of basketball left. My bet would be they go 1-1 this week: if beat Michigan, they'll lose to us. If lose to Michigan, they beat us (just my bet).

Iowa home and away, Illinois, Purdue, West Coast trip, Northwestern is always a scrappy team that seems like they knock off a highly ranked opponent every year. Lots of opportunities. All it takes is a funk that they get in. Nebraska isn't winning by sheer talent. Ill give them 3 or 4 conference losses. Its up to us to handle our business and they won't be an issue.

People just look at the CURRENT conference standings... which are completely meaningless. What matters is the team's record AND their remaining schedule.

As long as we beat them in Lincoln, wouldn't mind them going into Michigan and winning. You give Michigan two losses -- which is another top team.

If you want Michigan to beat Nebraska you don't hate Michigan enough.
ScUM is #1 on my list, but I'm making an exception due to the fan from another team that hangs around. I'm petty :ROFLMAO:. Plus we can take the overall #1 by beating MSU. This would include winning out, of course!
I'm thinking in the long term... Edit: Nebby losing to scUM ensures we win the conference outright (winning out)

This is the part of the schedule I was waiting for from them. Did you see the line for them vs Michigan? Talk about no respect. Wow. If Michigan spanks them, how do they react? I'm extremely interested to see how that unfolds.

What's the line? KP has Michigan by 9.

That's taking into account the entire season's worth of data - the last 4-6 weeks were very different so I'll be on Nebraska tomorrow.
