Is this the worst week or so EVER for Purdue fans?

Loss to UCLA
Loss to Illinois
Loss to Indiana
On top of Indiana football winning the natty.
I can think of a worse one

They were not at all impressive tonight. But last Sat., in W. LaFayette, they were a well oiled veteran team hitting on all cylinders. Their Achilles is rebounding and the ability to slow down elite perimeter shooting teams due to the size of their guards. They can at times....however...be the most impressive team in the nation. But like all great teams, including the Illini, they can look horrendous when they are fatigued and hitting a lower % of their shots.

Going on the B1G road when tired is, unfortunately, a recipe for a loss. The Illini will likely suffer another loss, maybe two, under such conditions to someone other than the top 5 contenders. Pretty sure there are a % of posters who do not understand that and will go ballistic with denigration when it happens. Our guys strive for consistency in every area, but sometimes, regardless of intent, energy sags and the rim shrinks. Been that way since Doubleday nailed his first peach basket to the wall. Condition all you want, practice all you want, yell and hyperbole all you want... it will not change anything. But teams chasing the biggest carrot of all, if they have depth, can fight through it better than others, especially when they have a team full of shooters....like the B1G leading Fighting Illini....I hope.

Michigan managed to look like complete butt while ending Nebraska's streak.
I'll take it.
Looking forward to an excellent birthday seat at Pinnacle to see a new streak start for the Huskers.

Absolutely bonkers finish in the game tonight on the Near West Side. So a little bit of context here...

UIC was up 20 at one point late in the 1st half against Indiana State with the Sycamores coming back to take the lead with under a minute left in the game. Indiana State, up 2, fouls one of UIC's jump shooters with about 7 seconds left. Both free throws made. Indiana State runs it up the court and then takes the timeout that seemingly every coach does in that situation. Then this moment happened with Indiana State trying to avoid getting called for a 5 second violation on the inbound:

Assuming we win Thursday, by the end of day Sunday, there will be two teams 10-1 and two teams 9-2 atop the B1G standings (Michigan plays @ Michigan St on Friday).

With Nebraska’s loss tonight, we now have the longest active win streak in the B1G.

easier way to say it is if we win Thursday all the 9-1 teams will pay each other this weekend

They didnt win 32 straight in March though. UCLA looks like they won 36 straight NCAA tourney games though with 9 titles.
