Weird tech by Izzo. They could've cut it to 7 with under 30sec. Now pretty much over.
It was after they called a foul on Fears so it was over anyway

The baseline official called Yaxel out - then after he called it MSU ball another official comes over and says he had a foul on Fears with a push- pretty awful call given how late it was and it wasn’t much of a push at all- so Izzo went nuts, I don’t blame him on that occasion

Not sure about that anymore, but you know it gave Fears PTSD. 😉

Yes he is moving in the way of another player on the move initiating a collision searching for foul calls. He should be the one getting them. I'm glad we don't have anyone on our team pulling that crap.

Breslin center always looks good on tv. Sounds even better for big games. Whitman is the perfect AD, maybe one day he will realize we need to get the students on the court again
I keep hoping we try to fix this. We were once truly known as “The House of Pain” for a reason. The crowd at our games now sounds like an average high school game on a broadcast

I can’t stand the way Fears baits fouls and Izzo works the refs nonstop.

I know UM/MSU was a more defensive minded game, but our game with Purdue felt like such a higher level basketball game. If we play to that level I think we can beat both those teams. Easier said than done though. Izzo will have his guys try to bait fouls on Keaton just like he did with Kasparas last year.

Virginia Tech has a very underrated ole gym. Any “old barn” is automatically gonna get bonus points from me, of course, but those stands look steep and the setup is cool.

For the love of all things good and holy PLEASE can UC fire Wes Miller

They are such a miserable watch

I believe he’s already reached the rock bottom of embarrassment thanks to Drake and his mom 😉

Big men need to get their money's worth when that happens, knee to the tailbone, forearm to the back of the head and "fall" on top of him. Refs aren't gonna start calling it now after letting him do it for 3-1/2 seasons.

Attended one game there several years ago. Very retro. Great venue for a small "wanna be" program.

Believe I recall VT leading Duke that night for the entire game before losing late.

Fears trying to draw fouls on big men coming up the floor by hitting the brakes and sliding over to them to create contact. Like a driver trying to draw a rear end collision. Got a few on Mara and almost Morez early in the 2nd half. Bush league !!!!. Can't believe refs aren't wise to some of his shenanigans
I watched the Michigan-MSU game on delay last night... was rooting for MSU because I thought it would benefit Illinois, but I swear Fears made it next to impossible and I found myself actually wanting MSU to lose. Came on here to see if anyone else was annoyed by his antics and was not disappointed.

I would like to see the stats on how many "fouls" Fears draws per game. The "hitting the brakes" when he is dribbling, the jumping sideways into people or moving in unnatural ways when he has the ball, the jumping into people on layup attempts while using his off arm to either shove the defender or drag him down after the shot attempt, the 5-6 flop attempts that the refs actually didn't call, to their credit... plus all the smack talk that appears to be going on the whole game. Pretty sure he is the player I dislike watching the most in college basketball right now.
