He’s prickly, with an emphasis on “prick.”How do guys come and play for this coach?
These are comicalHow do guys come and play for this coach?
My favorite was when Saint Mary's took down #1 Gonzaga in 2022.
And then the following day we got to enjoy this:My favorite was when Saint Mary's took down #1 Gonzaga in 2022.
On that one day, every one of the top6 teams lost, and seven top10 teams lost.
Just a whiny, low agency loser. How do guys come and play for this coach?
He has been injured a couple times … missed some games. Today was him returning again. Played 20 minutes. The guy is a dawg with skills on both ends… very athletic from what I have seen. Very good defender. Looks top 5 lotto pick easy.
Hard to evaluate other things beyond abilities when injury has factored in.
They have made the sweet 16 9 straight seasons prior to last year, where they got an 8 seed despite being the 8th best team in basketball, and lost in the second round in a historically top heavy year.Gonzaga has the formula down pat. Win some good non conference games, ride the usual media buzz through a conference with two tough games, get a high seed, get exposed in the round of 32. Repeat ad infinitum.
Just a whiny, low agency loser.
Compare that to the leadership displayed by the UCLA women’s coach when discussing the fighting Illini women’s team:
Granted, that’s after a win. But there’s a reason she has one of the top ranked women’s teams and Cronin underperforms year after year.
I don’t know that it is obvious. Last night the official story was cramps. He seemed to just be sitting all half on the bench. Not trying to work out a cramp. I can tell you KU fans are increasingly annoyed and exasperated by him. He sat there on the bench as the lead slipped away last night seemingly care free.
I dunno… it is unusual. Ankle, hamstring stuff and cramping. I guess for me it makes more sense that those are real issues as opposed to sand bagging. I would hope soThe injury story doesn’t make a lot of sense. The kid doesn’t seem to want to play.
I would sure want to understand it well if I’m a GM with the first pick. Most players have some type of injury they are playing through during the season. And Self talking about how his parents will decide if he’s able to play is weird. And they only want him to play if he’s 100%. Doesn’t sound like the kind of toughness I’d want in a first pick. Again, maybe something going on that makes it legit but it’s very odd.I dunno… it is unusual. Ankle, hamstring stuff and cramping. Maryland not much better.Creighton is just awful. Absolutely terrible.
Agree, Washington unis were terrible. But, don't sicken yourself with the Iowa State - Kansas State game. Kansas State unis are worse... way worse. They going to have key transfers out just from that uniform alone.Anyone who disliked the DAWGS uniform in Champaign, don’t turn this game on. Washington appears to be playing in lavender pajamas.
Awful.
I think we can beat Michigan because they struggle with shooting bigs (and because we always beat them), and I think we can beat MSU because we're just better than them.I can’t stand the way Fears baits fouls and Izzo works the refs nonstop.
I know UM/MSU was a more defensive minded game, but our game with Purdue felt like such a higher level basketball game. If we play to that level I think we can beat both those teams. Easier said than done though. Izzo will have his guys try to bait fouls on Keaton just like he did with Kasparas last year.
Thanks for the warming but I had to lookAgree, Washington unis were terrible. But, don't sicken yourself with the Iowa State - Kansas State game. Kansas State unis are worse... way worse. They going to have key transfers out just from that uniform alone.
Florida hung a hundred on Alabama....Florida looking much better in recent games. Up by 18 versus Alabama in the second half
