Funny enough, they have a “luck”category on KenPom. Nebraska jumped from 42 to 27 after that game. We are the 252nd luckiest team right now. Gonzaga escaped a bad loss last week and they are 30. I forgot what all goes into it, but it seems to do a pretty good job.

Edit: meant to reply this to @kyillinifan
Scrolling through it looks like we’ve been 240+ in luck for three years now. Not sure how to go about changing that, more sage?

Husker fan here...we beat Wisconsin by 30? We were lucky?

At some point the opposing fan bases will realize we're actually pretty good instead of just repeating "they're not actually that good".

I'm not saying we're Michigan good, but we definitely belong squarely in the top 5 of the conference.
Top 5? Try top 2 - Nebby is for real

Be curious if Dana Altman decides to hang it up this year. 67 years old. There was some talk about how he needed to hang it up last year but they got hot and made it to tourney

I read that it was something about the ref's wife...but also, why the heck would you berate the ref when your team is up twenty points? Totally unhinged.

The simple answer is winning more of the close games. Feels like in the non-con especially the last few seasons, we lose close games to Tennessee or Marquette or Arizona etc. We win close games but it’s basically saying if we played those games again, we probably come away with a better record. It’s basically like being favored to win a game by 6.5 and you lose by 2. I saw USC is 7th in luck and they looked bad last night. Seems like the wheels are falling the wagon for them soon.

I interpret luck when it comes to the Illini these past few years to mean we have great metrics but find ways to lose.

Cam Boozer's legs are some of the thickest I've ever seen on a freshman.

Louisville's Ryan Conwell is pulling a Pryce Sandfort right now against Duke. 3/3 from 3 in the first two minutes but he just missed a wide open layup and hit the deck hard and looks to have tweaked his wrist.

Michigan finally looking somewhat pedestrian early vs PSU… cue the 18-2 run since I just posted this lol

Can any of you imagine going to an opposing teams board and engaging during a week when we aren't even playing them?

Good lord.

I'm starting to feel like I should hate Nebraska more. Maybe I'll slide them above Minnesota in my B1G Hate Rank.

2) I honestly feel bad for diehard PSU hoops fans, because Bryce Jordan Center just seems like far and away the saddest home atmosphere in the league.

true, and i feel the same way about whatever ohio state's place is called. always feels at least 25% empty and just, i don't know, antiseptic? characterless?

I’m just never gonna be fully sold on a Cadeau / Burnett / Gayle backcourt.

Michigan 1st in opposing FG% thus far. While A LOT of that has to do with good defense, that does typically indicate some sort of regression.
