I didn't read this as making excuses or deflecting. I read it as him discussing a concerning recurring issue and admitting they may have a problem.

You'd think, with their resources, Duke could afford a decent S&C team.
It’s also one of 3 or 4 free articles about the game on ESPN and not the game recap article. ESPN certainly leans in hard on its “teams,” but think this is more about original poster hating Duke, ESPN or both.

Eat bananas. Stretch. Drink water. Hire me. Fixed.
Wonder if there are any ‘special vitamins’ that can cause cramping.

In other news, Oregon survived a scare from KP #299 Portland yesterday. They led the Ducks by 13 with eight minutes to go, but started playing scared and gave it away. Ball stolen with about 15 seconds left led to a Ducks layup to go to OT, where Portland laid down and would go on to lose by 10.

Looked like Oregon just shot really poorly in the first half and Portland clammed up in the end. UP had a freshman miss two free throws down the stretch that would have basically sealed it only to then get the rebound and immediately give up the steal and bucket.

Goodness. Flagg has been pretty awesome. But he really butchered these last 2 possessions.

17 year old kids, ya know?
As true as that might be he’s getting compensated nicely from both NLI point of view and endorsements wise such as shoe company,Gatorate etc. What am trying to say is if you are making superstar money there’s no age pass as far as am concerned.

I watched that game. Portland just collapsed. Oregon had shown nothing the entire game that indicated they could even initiate a rally, let alone execute one.

Sparty with a gross shooting night, 3-24 (12.5%) from behind the arc. 🤮🤮🤮

It's early, but this looks like it will be the fifth consecutive year of MSU being underwhelming.

I think focusing on that when your full team was on the court at the end and lost due to mental errors is a thing.

The Duke S&C coach has been there for 17 years so I'm skeptical of this being a new issue.

I am soooooooooo glad we did NOT get AJ Storr.....His demeanor on the bench ( not going down shaking his teammates hands when he came out ) tells me my concern was justified fully.......he is a me first player and only concerned about himself......

Funny what $ 750,000 NIL $$$ buys nowadays.............................JMHO.............................

The article doesn't claim that was the only think that Scheyer talked about. I am sure he also talked about mental mistakes and whatnot. And if not, I stand corrected. But the article linked doesn't appear to be claiming to be a full transcript of the postgame press conference.

I know the AP Poll isn't as important for us as something like the NET Rankings, but it's the best I have right now. Anyway, it is unquestionably good for us if the Big Ten gains a good reputation in the non-conference, making our conference wins more meaningful. With that in mind, here are the Big Ten teams ranked or receiving votes in the AP Poll right now:

#13 Purdue
#16 Indiana
#21 Ohio State
#24 Rutgers

RV #26 Illinois
RV #31 Michigan State
RV #37 Oregon
RV #44 Wisconsin
RV #46 Maryland
RV #52 Michigan

And here are some pretty big non-conference opportunities for those teams in the coming weeks for those who just want some meaningful hoops to watch!

Friday 11/15
#2 Alabama at #13 Purdue at 6:00 pm on Peacock
#15 Marquette at Maryland at 7:00 pm on FS1
#9 Arizona at Wisconsin at 8:00 pm on Peacock
#21 Ohio State at #23 Texas A&M at 8:00 pm on SEC Network

Tuesday 11/19
#13 Purdue at #15 Marquette at 8:00 pm on FS1

Wednesday 11/20
Illinois vs. #2 Alabama (Birmingham, AL) at 8:00 pm on SEC Network

Tuesday 11/26
Oregon vs. #23 Texas A&M (Las Vegas, NV) at 3:30 pm on TNT

Wednesday 11/27
#24 Rutgers vs. #2 Alabama (Las Vegas, NV) at 9:00 pm on TBS

Thursday 11/28 (Thanksgiving)
Illinois vs. #18 Arkansas (Kansas City, MO) at 3:00 pm on CBS

Saturday 12/7
Wisconsin at #15 Marquette at 12:30 pm on FOX

Tuesday 12/10
Michigan vs. #18 Arkansas (New York, NY) at 8:00 pm on ESPN

Saturday 12/14
#23 Texas A&M vs. #13 Purdue (Indianapolis, IN) at 11:00 am on CBS
#21 Ohio State vs. #5 Auburn (Atlanta, GA) at 12:00 pm on ESPN2
#11Tennessee at Illinois at 4:30 pm on FOX

Saturday 12/21
#13 Purdue vs. #5 Auburn (Birmingham, AL) at 3:30 pm on ESPN
#21 Ohio State vs. #19 Kentucky (New York, NY) at 4:30 pm on CBS

A lot of opportunities to get some more Big Ten teams ranked and jack up the conference's metrics before we start the full grind in January!

Duke 4/23 from three. Flagg 1/5. Sometimes it is the defense and sometimes just off nite. More shooters give a better chance. Riley only one with no off nites so far but will happen sooner or later.

Wonder if there are any ‘special vitamins’ that can cause cramping.
If you are actively cramping, have a few teaspoons of pickle juice. I'll testify that it works. Cramps that are so bad that you can't walk go away in 2-3 minutes.

... the acetic acid in pickle juice is ‘noxious tasting’ and proposed to chemically stimulate a reflex in the back of the throat. This reflex has been shown to decrease activity in the alpha motor neurons which causes muscle relaxation. You don’t even have to swallow the pickle juice to trigger the reflex, which can relieve cramps in less than 3-4 minutes (Miller, 2010b).

Probably a longshot but any insider people have any knowledge about what's going on with Fedor Zugic at Creighton?

Seemed like he would get cleared when Tomislav did and lose a year of eligibility but seems like that's being dragged out.
