Even better with a bit of bourbon! If you are actively cramping, have a few teaspoons of pickle juice. I'll testify that it works. Cramps that are so bad that you can't walk go away in 2-3 minutes.
... the acetic acid in pickle juice is ānoxious tastingā and proposed to chemically stimulate a reflex in the back of the throat. This reflex has been shown to decrease activity in the alpha motor neurons which causes muscle relaxation. You donāt even have to swallow the pickle juice to trigger the reflex, which can relieve cramps in less than 3-4 minutes (Miller, 2010b).![]()
Does pickle juice relieve muscle cramps? | The Cooper Institute
Muscle cramps during exercise are a frustrating challenge for many athletes, with 80% of triathletes and 50% of football players experiencing cramps during competition or training.www.cooperinstitute.org
But did he get 4 steals?Tomi's bro hit 6 of 7 threes tonight in a win vs Troy
Maybe I am getting soft but this espn article humanizes Cooper Flagg. You gotta at least like his mom who never lost to him one on one (an on court injury "forced" her to retire)The Athletic has a great piece on Pope. He seems like a genuinely decent dude and kind of makes rooting for Kentucky a little less gross.
Iād say the brothers are both talented. We are lucky to have one of them.Tomi's bro hit 6 of 7 threes tonight in a win vs Troy
Whatās wrong with Le Moyne? Theyāre ranked 2 below Eastern Illinois currently ā and 18 higher than EIU last year.UConn up 41 against ... Le Moyne?!? What the ....
I believe this is their second year in the NCAAWhatās wrong with Le Moyne? Theyāre ranked 2 below Eastern Illinois currently ā and 18 higher than EIU last year.
I know that. But no worse playing them than it is EIU. Kenpom ranks the two basically the same this year and EIU lower last year.I believe this is their second year in the NCAA

The tiny town and legendary 1980s NBA team that built Cooper Flagg
From grade school, Flagg has faced test after test -- all designed to define his ceiling. He has passed them all, fueled by lessons from one of the greatest teams in NBA history.www.espn.com
OK - just never heard of them. Perhaps because they have fewer students than my high school had. Shocked to find out their are D1 as of 2023.Whatās wrong with Le Moyne? Theyāre ranked 2 below Eastern Illinois currently ā and 18 higher than EIU last year.
You think that's weird. Florida national is playing Florida international today... Lot in the line for that one!OK - just never heard of them. Perhaps because they have fewer students than my high school had. Shocked to find out their are D1 as of 2023.

Purdue has a pretty good shot to lose to all 3 of those SEC opponents.I know the AP Poll isn't as important for us as something like the NET Rankings, but it's the best I have right now. Anyway, it is unquestionably good for us if the Big Ten gains a good reputation in the non-conference, making our conference wins more meaningful. With that in mind, here are the Big Ten teams ranked or receiving votes in the AP Poll right now:
#13 Purdue
#16 Indiana
#21 Ohio State
#24 Rutgers
RV #26 Illinois
RV #31 Michigan State
RV #37 Oregon
RV #44 Wisconsin
RV #46 Maryland
RV #52 Michigan
And here are some pretty big non-conference opportunities for those teams in the coming weeks for those who just want some meaningful hoops to watch!
Friday 11/15
#2 Alabama at #13 Purdue at 6:00 pm on Peacock
#15 Marquette at Maryland at 7:00 pm on FS1
#9 Arizona at Wisconsin at 8:00 pm on Peacock
#21 Ohio State at #23 Texas A&M at 8:00 pm on SEC Network
Tuesday 11/19
#13 Purdue at #15 Marquette at 8:00 pm on FS1
Wednesday 11/20
Illinois vs. #2 Alabama (Birmingham, AL) at 8:00 pm on SEC Network
Tuesday 11/26
Oregon vs. #23 Texas A&M (Las Vegas, NV) at 3:30 pm on TNT
Wednesday 11/27
#24 Rutgers vs. #2 Alabama (Las Vegas, NV) at 9:00 pm on TBS
Thursday 11/28 (Thanksgiving)
Illinois vs. #18 Arkansas (Kansas City, MO) at 3:00 pm on CBS
Saturday 12/7
Wisconsin at #15 Marquette at 12:30 pm on FOX
Tuesday 12/10
Michigan vs. #18 Arkansas (New York, NY) at 8:00 pm on ESPN
Saturday 12/14
#23 Texas A&M vs. #13 Purdue (Indianapolis, IN) at 11:00 am on CBS
#21 Ohio State vs. #5 Auburn (Atlanta, GA) at 12:00 pm on ESPN2
#11Tennessee at Illinois at 4:30 pm on FOX
Saturday 12/21
#13 Purdue vs. #5 Auburn (Birmingham, AL) at 3:30 pm on ESPN
#21 Ohio State vs. #19 Kentucky (New York, NY) at 4:30 pm on CBS
A lot of opportunities to get some more Big Ten teams ranked and jack up the conference's metrics before we start the full grind in January!
What's crazy is that in 2013 FIU sued Florida National over the name being too similar. FIU lost, the suit was deemed frivolous, and FIU had to pay over $1 million for FNU's attorney's fees. https://www.law.com/dailybusinessre...fnu-reach-1-1m-settlement-in-fight-over-name/You think that's weird. It's kinda nice that just 4 years after the conclusion of the case (which dragged on for 7 years) they've buried the hatchet enough to schedule each other in basketball.
Edit: Looked into it a little more, and this is their 3rd meeting. The first was in 2017, while the lawsuit was still pending! Fun stuff.
Rough half for Coleman and KSU.Yikes, Kansas State down 12 at home against LSU with 4 1/2 min to go in first half. Coleman on bench with 0 points.
That's like if Illinois lost to Loyo... sorry.Rough half for Coleman and KSU.
Arizona State trailing Grand Canyon late in the first half.
Yeah, but ASU won by 11.That's like if Illinois lost to Loyo... sorry.
