Elsewhere in the B1G, Washington is trailing 38-27 at the half at home against D2 Seattle Pacific.

If you are actively cramping, have a few teaspoons of pickle juice. I'll testify that it works. Cramps that are so bad that you can't walk go away in 2-3 minutes.

... the acetic acid in pickle juice is ā€˜noxious tasting’ and proposed to chemically stimulate a reflex in the back of the throat. This reflex has been shown to decrease activity in the alpha motor neurons which causes muscle relaxation. You don’t even have to swallow the pickle juice to trigger the reflex, which can relieve cramps in less than 3-4 minutes (Miller, 2010b).
Even better with a bit of bourbon!

The Athletic has a great piece on Pope. He seems like a genuinely decent dude and kind of makes rooting for Kentucky a little less gross.
Maybe I am getting soft but this espn article humanizes Cooper Flagg. You gotta at least like his mom who never lost to him one on one (an on court injury "forced" her to retire)

Thanks for posting. It's a great read.

I guess I'm getting soft in my middle age too but we need more of these kinds of articles instead of all the hate drivel that's out there nowadays, even in sports.

I know the AP Poll isn't as important for us as something like the NET Rankings, but it's the best I have right now. Anyway, it is unquestionably good for us if the Big Ten gains a good reputation in the non-conference, making our conference wins more meaningful. With that in mind, here are the Big Ten teams ranked or receiving votes in the AP Poll right now:

#13 Purdue
#16 Indiana
#21 Ohio State
#24 Rutgers

RV #26 Illinois
RV #31 Michigan State
RV #37 Oregon
RV #44 Wisconsin
RV #46 Maryland
RV #52 Michigan

And here are some pretty big non-conference opportunities for those teams in the coming weeks for those who just want some meaningful hoops to watch!

Friday 11/15
#2 Alabama at #13 Purdue at 6:00 pm on Peacock
#15 Marquette at Maryland at 7:00 pm on FS1
#9 Arizona at Wisconsin at 8:00 pm on Peacock
#21 Ohio State at #23 Texas A&M at 8:00 pm on SEC Network

Tuesday 11/19
#13 Purdue at #15 Marquette at 8:00 pm on FS1

Wednesday 11/20
Illinois vs. #2 Alabama (Birmingham, AL) at 8:00 pm on SEC Network

Tuesday 11/26
Oregon vs. #23 Texas A&M (Las Vegas, NV) at 3:30 pm on TNT

Wednesday 11/27
#24 Rutgers vs. #2 Alabama (Las Vegas, NV) at 9:00 pm on TBS

Thursday 11/28 (Thanksgiving)
Illinois vs. #18 Arkansas (Kansas City, MO) at 3:00 pm on CBS

Saturday 12/7
Wisconsin at #15 Marquette at 12:30 pm on FOX

Tuesday 12/10
Michigan vs. #18 Arkansas (New York, NY) at 8:00 pm on ESPN

Saturday 12/14
#23 Texas A&M vs. #13 Purdue (Indianapolis, IN) at 11:00 am on CBS
#21 Ohio State vs. #5 Auburn (Atlanta, GA) at 12:00 pm on ESPN2
#11Tennessee at Illinois at 4:30 pm on FOX

Saturday 12/21
#13 Purdue vs. #5 Auburn (Birmingham, AL) at 3:30 pm on ESPN
#21 Ohio State vs. #19 Kentucky (New York, NY) at 4:30 pm on CBS

A lot of opportunities to get some more Big Ten teams ranked and jack up the conference's metrics before we start the full grind in January!
Purdue has a pretty good shot to lose to all 3 of those SEC opponents.

You think that's weird. Florida national is playing Florida international today... Lot in the line for that one!
What's crazy is that in 2013 FIU sued Florida National over the name being too similar. FIU lost, the suit was deemed frivolous, and FIU had to pay over $1 million for FNU's attorney's fees. https://www.law.com/dailybusinessre...fnu-reach-1-1m-settlement-in-fight-over-name/

It's kinda nice that just 4 years after the conclusion of the case (which dragged on for 7 years) they've buried the hatchet enough to schedule each other in basketball.

Edit: Looked into it a little more, and this is their 3rd meeting. The first was in 2017, while the lawsuit was still pending! Fun stuff.

The season is soooo back! I love it!

Coleman had a really good second half, defensively and offensively but with limited touches. K St players just kept driving and missing and shooting and missing and missing then missing some more. No passing. Just missing.
