Just watched the Purdue v. Alabama game on Peacock delay. WOW! what an intense friggin' preseason game. Alabama's size, speed and athleticism looks unbeatable, and they lost! Kudos to Purdue's gutty performance. Braden Smith refused to lose.
Mackey Arena is a tough place to play. Result might have flipped if played in Tuscaloosa.

Well they are ranked #1.
While true, having a blue blood ranked #1 this early in the preseason is to be expected.

IU's schedule is so freaking soft. They stopped playing Kentucky, stopped the game against ND or Butler in Indy, and, of course, stopped the ACC/B10 challenge, so now they play a down South Carolina and a down Louisville as their only non-cupcake OOC opponents. Add in that their December conference games are Minnesota and Nebraska, so they should start 11-0. God help me - living in Indiana, I don't need this - am already hyped out with IU football and Purdue basketball.

I just don't think the big 3 of Kansas are built well together. The still don't shoot well from 3. AJ storr will likely cause an issue before to long.... Kansas is top 20 but not top 5. Harris and Adams with Hunter = mediocre core
I'd say Duke and Alabama are more "built well together." But KU certainly has a top 5 collection of talent. On pure talent, Duke is above everyone and I think their parts fit pretty well together.

MSU doesn't pass my eye test. Definitely not that overwhelming talent or even high level go to guy. Wisconsin looks better, think they are better off without Storr.

Kansas for sure has talent, undeniable but it's hard to have both Adams and Harris on the floor at the same time because neither are shooters. Also Hunter can score but can't defend pick and roll at all. I'm curious if Zeke Mayo helps with their 3 point shooting. Storr is talented but can be a chucker.

I'm curious about Alabama because I want see how much scoring they get out of grant Nelson and cliff. Sears is a beast. But in general they do fit together as a team.
