Texas Tech win likely not ending up as great as we thought. At least not top 10 good. Likely a six seed type of team.

They don't have shooting around Toppin. Same problem last year vs Florida.

It’ll age just fine. They aren’t a top 10 team (like I believe bama is), but it’ll be a quality win come selection Sunday

Purdue is really good no doubt. They are on their A game. TT is playing a D game! TT is shooting about as bad as it could be. I dont read that much into this game.
But… Purdue is deserving of their ranking. TT… wheels fell off the bus!

Sometimes your opponent can take you out of your game…like the great Mike Tyson said “everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth “.

Purdue has experienced guard play. That goes a long way to propelling them to their lofty position early in the season.

I want to see if Braden Smith can guard Boswell and Petro for 38 minutes. He wasn't that effective by the end of the game last year, and this year should be a bigger challenge. And then Loyer is going to have to guard Wagler or Andrej, which he isn't going to be able to do. I really can't wait to watch that game - the additional experience isn't going to mean as much for Purdue as it does for the Illini by that point in the B1G schedule.

Well we can flush that Stl to Chicago to Indy path. Purdue will be the 1 seed in Chicago barring something unforeseen.

St. Louis is not tied to a region, IIRC … it’s a stand alone site for the First Weekend. In 2024, Purdue played its First Weekend games in Indy as a #1 seed, but so did Marquette as a #2 seed in a totally separate region of the bracket.

I was talking about 2nd weekend. No way we getting the 1 seed in Chicago over Purdue.

I just watched the worst coaching I’ve ever seen. Oregon State against Iona, the Beavers leading scorer for the game in a double OT loss took 1 shot from the field (maybe 2) in the last 25 minutes of the game. What the hell.

I agree we wouldn’t beat them for the #1 seed, but that doesn’t necessarily eliminate us from Chicago as long as we’re on the bottom half of the bracket. A couple years ago Kansas was a #1 seed in Chicago, and the Committee put #3 seed Wisconsin in the same region.
