Michigan looking great.

Looks like they're figuring out to stagger that trio frontline more. Love Gayle and their freshman McKenney is a stud.

After watching other teams that we will be playing the past couple evenings, our schedule difficulty has definitely increased. Plenty of opportunities for signature wins to build an elite resume....lets hope we start the building process on a positive note come Friday.

Only playing 25 minutes a game so far this year and shooting 60% from the floor. He plays hard no matter who he has played for

I agree

When saying a guy is a monster I just think more of like Kofi than I would a [N|th banana type guy like Morez is all

Still not sold on Michigan….almost lost to Wake Forest and beat easily the 2 worst teams in the Players Era tournament.

I think they’re a good team, yet with deficiencies, like most everyone else this time of year

It’s funny how meaningless every game is in a vacuum though… TT losing to Purdue by 30, Michigan beating Auburn by 30, Illini beating Oregon last year by 30… have to play the whole schedule (it’s why this annual journey with this team is so damn immersive and enjoyable to me as a fan, all of the twists and turns)

He's been very good. Interesting to see how his numbers will compare once we get into conference play. So far, he's less efficient than he was with us (eFG down from .642 to .605), his rebound rate is down (15.2/40min to 12.0), his block rate is down (2.5/40 to 1.7) and his turnover rate is up (1.7/40 to 2.4). But he's being asked to do more so some of that is to be expected, and he has improved in one really important area for him - fouling. Down from 5.7 fouls per 40 to 3.3.

In this new wild west era of players getting paid and immediate eligibility after transfer, putting together a team that can win it all....or at least trying to do that as BU has done....is a complete crap shoot regardless of your roster size and skills.

What I like most about this team is at least an effort to recruit a team of Balkan guys who know each other. Unfortunately, in spite of an obvious diversity in skills giving the aggregate of appearing to have some elite level of every skill, we also get shortcomings. The downsize of an all Balkan 5 is that they have fought wars against each other not only recently but for centuries so who knows how they feel.

But, as stated above, the twists, turns, and coaching tweaks in order to find a dependable catalyst that can fire this team off to multiple victories is captivating.

We should all know by now that the challenge is to get these guys trusting each other, hitting shots every game with some consistency, and most of all, elevating the level of defensive effectiveness game by game....the most glaring challenge. Keep chopping wood, asking questions, focusing, trusting coaches and teammates, and cutting the errors to zero....a goal that is worthy but unattainable.

Meanwhile, as fans, we need patience and understanding. Not sure there is much of either available.

EIU lost to Central Arkansas, 81-60.

CA opened the game on a 30-4 run and that was it.

Zion Fruster returned from injury, 21 pts

Terry McMorris with 11 pts, 5 boards and another block.

Next up @Purdue Friday 11am
