Well, be safe, driving I-5 at night in January can be very wet and rainy, plus dark. Just be careful, keep your distance from those in front of you and don;'t take risks and you'll be fine. Around Albany and just north of Albany be careful if it gets foggy. I grew up in that area and when the fog sets in just north of albany it can get nasty.
LOL, I told my son what you posted, and he said he'll take the 3rd off so we can stay in Eugene that night. I like to visit colleges, so we'll spend some time walking around Oregon's campus the day after the game.

Meh....he's not wrong.

Playing in those types of tournaments is a huge roll of the dice. When they eliminated Chaminade from the tournament, which was an automatic W, it guaranteed that one really good team would go 0-3. It just happened to be them this year, where two of the games were excruciatingly close.

Now, they'll snap out of it and will still be there at the end because, like us, they're meshing an entirely new roster together, but.... three L's in three days will leave a mark.

Glad BU didn't get us involved in one this year.

You have to take in the athletic dept buildings. Must see Hayward (my avatar), across from the MATT (basketball) is the Jaqua Center, it's a glass building dedicated to educational service for all student athletes. Over at Autzen, you'll have the football facilities which are very nice, PK park (baseball), soccer is also next to Autzen. Near the MATT is the new Penny and Phil Knight Accelerating Scientific Impact. Also, if you are interested in Phil Knight's impact, there is the Knight Library and the Knight Law School (across from Hayward Field). The womens softball facility is quite nice also, it's near Hayward.

This exception was approved! Also accepted Iowa, Michigan, any team coached by Bruce Pearl
See, to me, Indiana is a special case. I can't stand to see another in-conference "basketball school" succeed in football before us. Plain an simple. 100% sour grapes. I'd be in the same boat if it were Purdue.

Places to stay: The Gordon Hotel, Fifth Avenue Suites, Hyatt Place at Oakway, and the Graduate are all good hotels... The Gordon, Graduate and Fifth Ave Suites are all in the same general area. Some decent restaurants in that area. Hyatt is over at the Oakway Mall area, it's an area that I like quite a bit, Broadway Wine Merchant across the street is a favorite of mine.

Submitting another exception for your approval: any team coached by Sampson. I know that it not relevant to B10.
