You care so little that anytime someone mentions it, you have a multi post debate?

You guys came after me

I simply made a comment about the tweet and y’all jumped me

It’s not really a multi post debate anymore, you guys have just switched to weak *** personal attacks now “who hurt you?” Haha funny stuff

This round goes to Juiceman, et al.

Sorry, Narrow J… you failed to make a compelling argument and you wrapped your logic into a pretzel. I’d sit the rest of this one out, if I were you.

Explain, then

What is incorrect about anything I’ve said here?

It’s disappointing that I can post an opinion, have a guy respond to me with a 5 paragraph essay, and then I’m the one who started a debate and receive personal attacks (because nobody can actually refute what I am saying)

Unofficial verdict: NarrowJ takes runner-up here.

It may not even be clear to Morez himself that it's a shot at BU/UI. But the comment pretty obviously - given the situation - emanates from the same place that the comments he made to Kedric emanated. And it's totally fine and fair to make this observation. I don't see a point in debating it so strenuously. After all, there is no such thing as free will.

Dude… seriously. It’s been explained ad nauseum already. Juiceman wins this round. Take your lumps, regroup and come back another day in a different fight.

Interestingly enough, the more you protest and linger on the subject, the more people will say “Narrow J’s pulling a Morez.” 😉

You are not the "board police" or "board chairman" who gets to determine who "wins" a discussion. Don't be so full of yourself. Instead, tell me where I'm wrong? You can't.

Cool, more personal attacks

Is his comments a big deal, no. Is it a jab, yes.
But these little rivalries and intricacies are what makes college basketball fun, so no hard feelings toward Morez now, I just want to bury Michigan next time we play.

As an observer, I don't care for cheap shots, so you're not alone.

I expect fans to always have strong opinions about former players, and it's interesting to see how things play out as people see things from different angles. Somewhat adjacent, I think Dusty May is handling this very smartly. Let Morez take shots in these early non-conf games to see if he hits one. Made 4-4 FTs which a lot of people think correlates with improved shooting. I'll be tuned in Feb 27.

"Chairman of the Board" made me laugh out loud hahaha

There goes Narrow J pulling a Morez again. 😉

Of note: I’m generally a fan of your rationalization and your posts. You have a 98% Yelp rating with me. You’re just waaaaaay off on this one. Not necessarily about what’s going on in Morez’s mind, but with your interpretation of context and how it relates to Morez and his oft repeated praise of his current coaching staff.

There we go, an actual rebuttal.

Why is my interpretation of the context incorrect? Did the reporter ask him a question about Illinois? The reporter asked him a question about shooting 3s and a couple dribble drives. You're injecting context that simply wasn't there in his interaction with the reporter. He was asked a specific question and gave a very cookie-cutter response.

PS, I can let this go anytime you guys want, I'm just clicking 'reply' to your objections to my original comment that people are reading in to a post-game interview a bit too much.

Not gonna lie… I haven’t missed it.
really me neither. I usually watch college game day (football) but that is about it. However, I would/will watch some CBB on ESPN

Monday night no Cowboys which was probably a good skip.

The 'who hurt you' comment was nothing personal, just funny. We're allowed to do that here.

We all get that there's nuance to why he left (Underwood playing Hummer over him, Tim leaving, doubling his NIL, etc.), but he left while throwing a bunch of stones after committing to the team, so folks do not trust his words or intentions. If you want to assign yourself to be his honor guard, then you're going to get some of the boards disdain by proximity.

I do think the idea of Dan setting up a boxing-judge-style panel to determine who wins debates on here would be objectively funny (and save the rest of us from having to scroll through pages of 2 people verbally pillow fighting).

(y) all good

I mean, again I certainly don't see myself as being his "honor guard" because I think folks read into the comments too much. I think he's a turncoat, and hope we kick his butt in Feb.

I do regret this taking up so much space, but there are a lot of posts from people who aren't me. A boxing-judge-style panel sounds hilarious though, I agree, lets do it lol

Even if he's not trying to directly signal out Illinois his comment about how its nice to have a coach that believes in him implies that he thought the Illinois staff didnt believe in him, especially when you add his previous comments about not thinking he would be developed properly.
