I keep waiting for them to figure it out… still think toppin and Anderson and that coach are too good for it to be a team consistently outside the top 25.

But this game from watts notwithstanding, I do wonder if mccassland put a whole lot of resources into two stars, and not enough else.

This new world of roster building ain’t easy as people think it is.

I was never sold on Dix, and honestly was never really sold on Storr either... the other 4 guys I'd have taken in a heartbeat

Dix looked good at the time… we got better! Sarr … a lot of money for less than expected!

Love Drej and think he fits in well here with this group, but you’re full of it if you’re saying you wouldn’t have Donovan Dent on this team. That dude is a bucket. It’s been a slow start bc of his injury, but when he’s 100% he’s gonna be nasty.

Difference between saying you wouldn’t take him and you wouldn’t take him over Andrej.

Besides with Bam and Wagler we needed a bigger wing anyway.

Agreed Dent is gonna get going here tho. This board would be MELTING down if dent was here and shooting 7% from 3 lol

Over Andrej? No. We have Keaton and Boz in the backcourt... not only would one of them have to sit, but that team would leave a ton to be desired on the wing.

Again, this is IN HINDSIGHT. In the summer I'd absolutely take Dent, and yes more than likely he'll have a great year. But so far Andrej's been the better player (and fit).

(Dent is also shooting 7% from 3 as a 6"2 guard).

Agreed with both of you that Drej is the better fit on the 3 with this team. Especially with how Keaton has turned out. All I was saying is that Dent starting at Guard with Keaton coming off the bench and really learning would’ve been electric. That’s all. Obviously if I could only have one, I’m taking Drej.

I would certainly take our offense being ranked a bit lower if the defense was way better! Have to hope this group can improve defensively. I’ve seen potential for it in the Tennessee game and portions of a couple others. They’ve got to go it consistently and not just when they feel like it though.

agreed. we are on the Alabama model last few years which isn't bad as they have had great runs. you just need to be able to find those defensive stops when needed

really? In the ACC, Big 12, B1G, or SEC? I must be overlooking something. The only top 25 games I see all involve SEC teams and would appear to be pretty easy wins.

-vandy vs 4-5 Memphis

Who are you talking about? Not being snarky; I'm legitimately looking for some games to watch tonight.

Should have said just p4 teams. Couple big ones I'm watching for betting purposes lol

Arizona State versus UCLA
Vandy and Memphis
Creighton and Xavier
Georgetown and Marq
South Florida and Bama
Portland and Oregon (Portland is really good)

Smaller Games which I'm following:
North Texas and Santa Clara
Richmond and Elon
UT Arlington and Stanford

I remember coming back to the states from serving 3 years in Italy (yeah, I know - tough gig, but this was in the infancy days of cable tv, no internet, no cell phones, etc.) and finding ESPN on TV. "You mean there's a channel that shows nothing but sports? 24 hours a day?". I thought I'd gone to heaven.

Now it's just a steaming pile of camel dung . . .
