Who do we want to win between Wiscy and Michigan? Are either of these teams true conference contenders?

Michigan is play an interesting version of the zone defense. ITs going to give them a W on the road in Badgertown...

Probably doesn't matter since it's so early. I guess Michigan since we only play them once, second to last game of regular season.

Wiscy since we play them next Tuesday. The higher ranked they are the better.

Nice having late night B10 BB to watch but observations:

Weird not having a ranking # next to at least one teams name.

Sparse crowd watching a game on John Wooden court.

Princeton type score in second half.

Tennessee looks tough
I watched a bit of the TN-Syracuse game.
TN def looks good, but I think we could beat them by the time we play them.
Syracuse was not very good on D, rebounding, shooting, driving into double teams, etc
If/when we get a couple wins over NW and Wisky that refine our teamwork, I think we could be ready.

Am I crazy to think we could match Tomi/Morez vs Wolf/Goldin, just switch the screen and it's not that big a deal? I know Tomi isn't known for perimeter D, but surely he can stay in front of Wolf if needed.

I can't remember the last time Wisconsin could deal with big men directly, it's just not their game. Their gameplan is generally let the big man eat and hope their activity outside the paint wins it for them.

All things considered - I always root for the home team in B1G games but will root for bottom dwellers can pull off a road win.

Yeah, I mean... I watch that clip and Wisconsin has 4 guys out there who are 6'4 or smaller - they switch the ball screen and then Goldin has a 5'11 McGee trying to guard him right in front of the basket. What this guy is pointing out here isn't really anything profound, nor is it something Michigan is just going to be able to do to everyone, all of the time. Most teams are not going to run out a 5-11, 6-1, 6-4, 6-4, 6-9 lineup against the Wolf/Goldin combo. Moreso its either coaching error and/or just not having the personnel on Wisconsin's part than it is that Wolf/Goldin are this super duper cheat code that nobody can stop.
