Put me in the camp that was VERY much relieved to see Iowa beat Northwestern. These are my reasons:

1. NU has lost a couple heart breakers lately ... while it could rally them to get a desperately needed win on Friday, I am a bit more hopeful it might be a mini-dagger to their morale.
2. We don't play Iowa on the road, so our matchup vs. them is Quad 3 if they fall out of the top 75 ... meanwhile, if NU does the same, a win in Evanston would still be Quad 2. Given the nature of the rivalry and how they can ALWAYS randomly get hot from three, I do not want to be playing Iowa with a bad Quad 3 loss on the line.
3. Given their records and schedule, I actually think Iowa has more opportunity to "graduate" into a quality opponent, haha.
4. While I do hate the Hawkeyes, it is not a TRUE Schadenfreude hate like with, say, Indiana (I honestly could not care less if they sucked forever, no skin off my back and their delusional/arrogant fans deserve it!). Our rivalry with Iowa got REALLY fun and heated again there for a while, and I think we are easily each other's most mutually shared rival ... so I want Iowa to at least be competitive enough that their fan base is engaged and we can enjoy having a rivalry with them.

I just watched the replay of the ucla vs, washington game and the most impressive thing I saw were the ucla cheerleaders.......

It really really was............................numerous turnovers and airballs by both squads......cold shooting also.......

Great Osobor for u-dub had 8 turnovers and very sloppy effort........if he got what was reported in NIL $$$ then he needs to back up to the window when he gets paid................very unimpressive , at least to these old eyes.....................JMHO...........

Probably doesn't matter since it's so early. I guess Michigan since we only play them once, second to last game of regular season.
Disagree. Beating a good team once is worse than beating a good team twice. So we want all the teams we play once to be worse than the teams we play twice.

Yeah, I mean... I watch that clip and Wisconsin has 4 guys out there who are 6'4 or smaller - they switch the ball screen and then Goldin has a 5'11 McGee trying to guard him right in front of the basket. What this guy is pointing out here isn't really anything profound, nor is it something Michigan is just going to be able to do to everyone, all of the time. Most teams are not going to run out a 5-11, 6-1, 6-4, 6-4, 6-9 lineup against the Wolf/Goldin combo. Moreso its either coaching error and/or just not having the personnel on Wisconsin's part than it is that Wolf/Goldin are this super duper cheat code that nobody can stop.
Agreed, but if you read those replies Michigan fans think it's going to be unstoppable offense all season 😂

But Duke and UNC play during that time.

There's no way ESPN is letting a silly thing like a #5 vs #6 matchup get in the way of a 4-3 team playing a 6-2 team.
Would either of those programs be miffed about being placed on plus?
Not just because fans would have to shell out extra money, but lack of exposure for your program?
Your fanbase will tune in, but will the casual cbb fan tune in? Or potential recruits?
