On the 247 Tar Heels Premium basketball board, they had recently a really long and quite complimentary thread on the 2004-2005 Illini. I was quite surprised. Everyone gave the biggest props to the Illini and said they’re clearly one of the best teams ever to have not won a championship.
The premise of the thread was absurd (about how UNC has a 3-headed monster at guard like the Illini did—thread was done before the Maui tournament). The original poster was uniformly scorned by every UNC fan even before Maui as it being a ludicrous suggestion about UNC’s 3 guards.

Rooting for Creighton and Duke so we can face #1 Tennessee next week
Watching AJ Storr brick shots for Kansas makes me feel our coaches made good decisions this past summer.
Pitt getting boat raced. Kansas down double digits. Wisconsin loses to Michigan yesterday. Marquette lost to Iowa State. Auburn losing to Duke. Undefeated teams are getting scarce.

Kansas looking completely unfocused and disinterested on the road. Hopefully we can learn vicariously by watching teams like Cincinnati and Kansas get thrashed this week and we can show up in Evanston ready to play hard from the gun.

Good God, DePaul shoots the three well. They're shooting 40% from three as a squad and when they need one, they get it. They're going to lose more than they win this year, but they're infinitely better than they were and much more watchable.
