Ah, ok. Otherwise I was thinking this might be LeBron’s retirement plan

Yeah I think the most he did was play for the Knicks in summer league this past summer when they held his rights. Though you could argue the loophole started back in September when the NCAA allowed Thierry Darlan, who had signed with the G League Ignite out of high school, to play at Santa Clara. One of his teammates, London Johnson, was given the same eligibility to play with Louisville back in October.

That is different though since he went through the draft process and was drafted 31st.It used to be that once you decided to stay in the draft past the drop out date you will lose your college eligibility. I think now they’re just making up the rules as they go.

I dont see how this wouldn't be different for Kofi. He went thru the draft process and still has eligibility. We need to go triple his current contract with NIL and bring him back.

It’s always been strange that you couldn’t turn down a draft pick and re enroll in school.

Second rounders might start doing that.

And Gonzaga kicks off their daunting WCC conference schedule with a close game vs Kenpom #257 Pepperdine, 96-56. Only 3 other WCC teams are currently above a 100 Kenpom rating (St. Mary's at 33, Santa Clara at 57, and San Francisco at 93). After that it's

113 Seattle
121 Loyola Marymount
142 Pacific
150 Washington State
190 Oregon State
214 San Diego
231 Portland
257 Pepperdine

Gonzaga is the Noder Dame of college basketball. They do play a good, but not overly difficult non-con schedule, but they majority of the season they play cupcakes until the Tournament. Mark Few has got it figured out as to how best game the system that he is in to maximum advantage for the Bulldogs.
