To me, this is the end of college basketball. It is just not fun anymore. It really sucks. It is now professional basketball.

General suggestion. I wonder if we should have an officiating thread?
I used to complain like everyone else. Then I registered to be one. Now I'm way more sympathetic to their situation.
I think it would be good for explanation of certain calls alongside the rule from the book. That might provide a little education. More people should really read the rule book and seek to understand it. I had been in basketball all my life and only recently read it. That made me understand things so much better.

Florida loses to mizzou, Kansas loses to UCF, UNC loses to SMU and yet we’re not pleased by a somewhat comfortable win on the road. Some of yall are either new to college hoops or being ignorant. Bad losses happen to everyone! We have 0 bad losses, sure we have a few games we wish we had, but the difference between a top 3 seed come March and a non-protected seed is taking care of business in all the games you should win, which is arguably more important than getting the marquee ones. We’re in a great spot.
Dan, I like this suggestion so maybe some of the other threads won't be so clogged up.

When I read his "apology" I noted the same. I also thing one of his staffers used ChatGPT to write the statement.
At this point it's a next four out of the tournament team. Wouldn't surprise me if Gard gets them playing better as we progress through the conference. That's happened before. Nice to have them only at home this year. My guess if we had to play them at the Kohl late in the Big 10 schedule it would be a dog fight. All these scores and supposed upsets tell me the state of college basketball is somewhat mediocre or more parity depending on your view point. Outside of a handful of teams( maybe Michigan, UConn, Duke??,) even the ranked teams lack game to game consistency. What else would you expect from teams where rosters are slammed together each year from the portal and they are learning to play with each other most of the season. They are torn apart every year with" potential"NBA players leaving to the league or looking for better NIL bags somewhere else. Tough to retain and maintain continuity these days. Hello exceptions like Purdue. Can't believe a first year Big 10 coach with a roster composed of Drake players would be having this success if he imported this team into the Big 10 but it was the 1980s or 1990s rosters that they played against.
