Indiana State gets in the Top 25 for the first time since the Bird era, loses at home to a depleted ISU team earlier this week, and loses today in Carbondale:

Izzo up eight and verbally and borderline-physically assaulting his players during a timeout. Don’t ever change, Tom.

1.) Considering the size and strength of his players coupled with his diminutive elfish stature…it defies probability that this has never happened:

2.) Also, this can’t be right; can it? Bizarre.

Updated B1G EM after today's slate:

1708232721381.png

Notes:
- Purdue has now passed Illinois for defensive efficiency, putting the Illini 5th in the B1G defensively. They were good defensively against Michigan, below average defensively against Maryland.
- Michigan State has overtaken Wisconsin for 3rd in EM, and it feels right.
- Today was Maryland's worst defensive efficiency of the season.
- Rutgers slowly climbing in the standings and the EM. Now giving themselves a better than even odds of avoiding a Wednesday game.
- Michigan has now lapped the field in bad. Whereas once you could say there were no gimmes in B1G play, now Michigan is a gimme (if you aren't Wisconsin).
- Illinois has 6 games remaining, against teams 1, 4, 8, 9 (x2) and 11. 4-2 expected, 5-1 would guarantee them 2nd, 6-0 would leave them an outside shot at first if Purdue slips up somewhere.
- 10 teams in the conference are now between 9-6 and 6-0, so EM is becoming an increasingly effective tool at separating those teams. We know Purdue and Illinois are 1-2 and Ohio State and Michigan are 13-14, everyone else is in a miasma of average

I love the EM chart. I figured out what confused me, I think. I’m on my phone so I cannot hold it, but should 6-0 actually be 6-9?

If so, then great post! If not, then I’m confused…

Yeah I saw that and was like “hmm this is probably some advanced analytic stat that goes way over my head” lol

Rooting hard for OSU and Maryland from here on out. Barely hanging on in the top 75 in NET. Unfortunately, our resume looks a lot different if they both fall out.

We need FAU to get a good win today. Challenging road game @ USF (18-5, 11-1). Down 22-14 in the 1H

Yeah FAU getting their butts kicked, 46-29 with 30 seconds left in 1st half

They've done this a few times this year. My guess is they come back and make it competitive. Can the Bulls really shoot like this for a full game??
