I 10000000% agree with you that it's not a great team. However, look at their remaining schedule. Where on there do you feel like, where does a significant push come from?
I'm not looking their historical schedule, not sure who they've beaten, here here are their losses:
@ Michigan (Nebraska was significantly short handed)
Purdue (Terrible first half, phenomenal second half, heartbreaker(.
Illinois - After then dropping 9(?) first half threes on our heads, we withstood it and spanked them.
Iowa - That game was awful to watch.
They gave a very similar story to tell in their losses as we do. Our conference losses-
Nebraska - Buzzer beater
@ Michigan State - Without a key player, didn't close
Wisconsin - Without two key players, we ran out of gas.
We have the West Coast trip, Michigan, Oregon and Maryland.
They have the West Coast trip, then Penn St, Maryland and Iowa all at home.
I'm not sure where tiebreakers fall in all of this when it comes to the Big Ten Tournament, but having the one game in pocket sure helps. On the national level, having then lose such an ugly game doesn't help with their seeding either. They are a favor in that 2 and 3 seed category.
I continue to be furious with Purdue's first half effort. They were straight up scared of Michigan's bigs. Absolutely terrified to compete on the boards.
What is so different about Michigan's bigs than ours that you'd be scared of them and not of our guys?

A lot of ranked teams went down yesterday. I'm convinced more than ever that we the most disciplined, talented and cohesive team in college basketball. Stay healthy, urge Brad to dig a little deeper into the bench as nothing compares to game minutes, and do not allow bad officiating to get somebody injured.

I had a friend at the Providence-St, John’s game. He’s in his 60’s and was there with his 92 yo mother and he was disgusted by their own student section for their treatment of Bryce Hopkins. They’re lifelong Providence fans and that team means a lot to the people of that city, which I didn’t realize until I actually spent time up there. Interested to see who their next coach is.

That is exactly what Cronin was doing to Izzo in how to discipline a player for flagrant or uncessary fouls. I'm glad you understood Cronin motive. It was a dig to Izzo.

Interesting perspective. Outside of Homicide, I don't see Izzo doing anything like that.
