IANAL but how on Earth in a functional society is the “crime” Hoiberg committed anything more serious than damaging someone else’s property, lmao. I don’t doubt necessarily that others here are right about it being “assault,” but that’s an insanely stupid law if it covers forcibly removing a phone from your face that someone else put there, lol.

I don’t know that it would be anything more than property damage. But the post I replied to said they would do a lot more than slap the phone away.

Hoiberg is paid a lot of money to deal with being in the public spotlight. That comes with some BS behavior by fans from opposing teams. But it’s not like th fan assaulted him. He held his phone up and said some snotty thing to him. Doesn’t give any of us the right to do what Fred did.

Acuff, while absolutely phenomenal, has 45pts on 26 shots. This is also an OT game.
