Losing to South Florida, UNLV and Grand Canyon might have something to do with that.
What you must consider is that there's likely teams NOT in the top25 that would handle them easily. Random example, Tennessee.
Those mid majors are all for the pretty records, but talent-wise not on the same level.

There are also teams IN the top 25 that they might beat, like UNC or Wisconsin. Utah State is 23rd on KP, 8 spots ahead of Wisconsin and 9 ahead of UNC.

Wisconsin has wins over Michigan State, @Illinois, and @Michigan. I do not anticipate Utah State beating even one of those three teams.

Koa Peat left their Texas Tech loss with a “Lower body injury”. He didn’t play last night in their win. It will be somewhat telling if he plays Saturday against Houston.
Peterson only plays half of every game for Kansas-that whole situation has been messy.
A potential injury return to help a team is Braden Huff for Gonzaga.
