Motta and Richard Pitino, coaching Butler and Xavier, two Big East bottom feeders. NIL casualties?

Remember when we were jumping off the coaching ledge when we missed out on Motta.

Poor Robbie Hummel had to call the game.

So, where was that vaunted Phog crowd I was hearing so much about a couple weeks ago? Sounded pretty dead in the the last 5 minutes.
It was. But don’t doubt the environment there. Been there many times and it’s real.

AZ killing themselves at the FT line. 3 missed front end 1 and 1s. Now Burries misses two.

Lots of bad calls against Houston though.

Oh, I don't doubt it one bit. I'm making a different point regarding crowds and fan bases.

It's just interesting that today no one was pointing out how awesome KU's crowd is. Weird how that works.

Arizona really doesn’t have a weakness that I’ve seen so far. Admittedly I haven’t watched many of their games this year. They are pretty big, strong, fast, and can shoot at most positions.
Arizona is the type of team that would be a difficult matchup for Illinois for these reasons. Not saying it’s hopeless by any stretch, but a team with a lot of athletic ability will present Illinois with a challenge.

They also seem to be very balanced offensively. They are not as reliant on long range shooting, which can help offset a bad night shooting from outside.

Houston showing their biggest Achilles heel in the last 4 minutes. They sometimes just struggle hard to score.

They are really good defensively, and they play hard. But offense is hard to come by when they don’t create live ball turnovers.
