I think the timing on this one might be benefitial for us. May uses the phrase "dangerous plays"....which should draw some attention......plus he is not the losing coach complaining about the game. It could be a case where this game gets some reviewing as well as more attention in future games with some focus on JF.

Technically, Duke and UConn have games tonight.

They are home games against Boston College and Xavier, so I'm not expecting much.

Tonight's actual interesting games should be SMU-NC State and Indiana-USC.

Tonight's choice is between good teams expecting 30 point games, or games between bubble teams that should be close. The real exciting games aren't available until the weekend.

I just mean that it's absurd that those pairings of schools are in the same conference.

Really interesting video the number of threes taken by college basketball teams this year:


There have only been 4 teams ever that have taken more 3’s than 2’s over the course of a season. This season, there are currently 7 teams doing just that. Illinois is one of them.

Do you know if that stat is all schools or just P5?
Crazy stat either way, but KenPom tracks this one, and these are all the schools above the 50% line, which as you can imagine is way more than other years:

One of these days, the assistant who is trying to keep you from getting suspended is going to resent you shoving him away and hitting him away. I just want the designated "hold me back" assistants to let the coach or player go. Let's see what a big man you are without wrestling with an assistant.
I know it is all performative in all sports....but I find it tiresome and childish.
