Ref show these last few minutes. Confident in our ability to not foul, but giving me pre-anxiety for a '01 AZ or '05 UNC type shafting in the tournament. At the same time, makes me realize how deep we are because no matter who gets shafted, we have a capable back up.

Beat Msu and we move up from 5 probably to 4th or 3rd. St. John is very athletic. Hit shots and take the crowd out tomorrow night. UConn made a lot of mistakes tonight, I am surprised the Mullin kid didn't go to Purdue or IN. Uconn must have thrown a lot of $$ at him. I still will take Keaton over him. Go ILLINI.

Watching the UConn/St. John's game, the announcer stated that the Big East was beyond a doubt the toughest and/or best basketball league in the nation. Really? There is almost infinite doubt and no factual basis for this. The Big East may be fourth this year behind the B1G, Big 12, and SEC....maybe. It really irks me that things like that are allowed to be stated on national television when they are not based on fact.

UConn rules the roost in that conference and they can slide with the best. SLU and St John's are currently in the top 25 at 21 and 24, neither of which is a big threat to the top 5 in the B1G or Big 12. Too many fools in the world today think they can make any statement and it will be taken as the truth.

Truthfully, I have no idea if we move up with a win having lost to UConn by 13. But it was early and we were playing injured. Wanting to see it but not at all sure it will happen. UConn still has only two losses. How sports writers see things is far from reasonable or predictable. And all coaches have their bias.
