And ScUM pulls it out with a 3 at the buzzer

Poor execution but great shot by Burnett Boo

I think this provided plenty of game film for our guys to work with.
UM played much better 2nd half, but nothing we shouldn't be able to handle, imo.
Just gotta make shots...

Do you think they’d be better if they lost a bunch of games in February?

Burnett made a 25 footer where he had a split second to release the ball. So Rutgers probably thinks that was good defense. But if I was coach I’d have told my guys to stay attached to their guys and made whoever catches the inbound go score off the dribble.

Kick outs are easier shots to make than hitting a jumper off the dribble. I’d have made Wolf make a 17 footer with a guy up on him than Burnett shooting an open 25 footer

What a collapse by Rutgers. Up 12 with 11 minutes to go. Seven minute scoring drought. Managed to scrape a lead with 4 seconds left. Loses anyway.

Fine with me though. Hopefully drained the Wolverines for this weekend.

If scUM were going to win, I'd rather it have been via an OT or 2OT.....

Some of the worst roster construction you'll ever see

Changing subject--the Illinois women's basketball team (24-1 and ranked #3 in the country) is hosting the CCIW tournament this weekend at the Shirk Center. They play Millikin tonite at 7:30. They clobbered Millikin twice during the regular season but Coach Mia Smith and her players are not taking this game lightly; they know, as we all do, that upsets are common in postseason tournaments. If you live close to Bloomington, you might like to check these young women out. In addition, I should mention the game will be streamed live on the IWU network. There's no charge to watch; it's free.
